Excellent Gas Log Set!
Review Image by James E
This turned out to be an excellent log set for the money. I was cautiously hopeful looking at the pictures and the reviews. Compared to some of the others this was much less expensive, but I am thoroughly impressed by the quality and function. The lock themselves are very realistic and appearance, and very detailed in the way they fit together. They’re not just sitting in a place they actually have pins which hold them in their position. We have natural gas instead of propane. It is a very simple process to set up for NG versus LP during insulation. The only negative that I can offer (and it was a big one when I first received the shipment) is that there is no mention in any of the package details that comes in two separate boxes. You can only imagine my reaction when I came home planning to install these and, opened the box to find only the logs themselves, which was a completely different part number from the item I had ordered. Because Amazon showed this as “delivered” I took this as an error by the seller. I had already started the return, after I had printed the label and was getting ready to stick it to the box I realized that there was another label with a small “1 of 2” notation. So, on the outside hope that this was actually a screwup by UPS, I held off on returning the box. Thankfully, that was exactly the case and box 2 of 2 delivered the following day. To the seller: please be descriptive and clearly state when your package will come in multiple boxes/shipments. I have learned that UPS will almost always separate these for some reason. I’m just glad they ended up delivering the rest of it. As far as Amazon knew, the order had delivered completely with the first box. All’s well that ends well though, and I am very happy with this purchase! Would definitely buy these again! ... show more

Excellent buy. Works and looks great.

Put this unit in my home gas fireplace. Works really well. Couple of things to do: 1) Make sure the front logs clear the gas that moves from the embers to the fire - if you don't the logs get hot and give off an odor. If you correctly position the logs there is no problem and no smell. 2) Pilot lights really fast and easy once you get the gas (NG for me) fill the supply. 3) Once you set the control to pilot and light the pilot, remember to move the control to "On" or the remote will not function. This is unit is well worth the money and puts out a lot of heat with my convection insert. It is ventless so I have my damper closed. ... show more

Deceptive
Review Image by david meads
my plumber just installed these fire logs and the photo shows these rocks that cover all across the front of the fire logs, however, they give you this pathetically small bag of rocks which is enough for about a 1/3 of what is shown on the photo. So now I have to spend two weeks of BS dealing with this 3rd party vendor trying to get enough rocks to make the gas logs look like the photo. ... show more

Great set of gas logs.
The log set was easy to setup and looks great in our fireplace. The remote is a nice addition as well. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Assembly required.
Huge upgrade. Had an old set of logs failing. Replaced with these and they are great. One note: I initially had the logs not sitting correctly and the logs turned off after a brief burn time. Making sure the logs were COMPLETELY clear of the burners/flames FIXED THIS COMPLETELY. User error on my part. ... show more

easy to install.
I installed these logs in October. It has not got cold enough in N.C. to really use yet. The remote works good. They look very nice burning.
