I use this tarp in a fairly unconventional way. On my property my neighbor likes to feed the birds. This attracts a lot of squirrels, chipmunks, mice and rats to the area. I've asked her to stop feeding the animals after my car got totaled, but I don't think that's going to happen. . Apparently animals like to chew on wiring because it is soy based. So if there are a lot of hungry critters around your car could be at risk. I've done a ton of research and tried lots of things but if animals are hungry enough they will get in your vehicle. The most effective thing I've found to do is to totally wrap my car in a tarp. It's a pain to do daily but worth it for my peace of mind and finances. I got this tarp 3 months ago and I drive on top of it every day. Then I use bungee cords to pull the sides of the tarp up around my suv and secure it in place. I also cover the top in a car cover. Note I park on gravel and frequently have to turn my wheels to get centered on the tarp. I expected to be patching holes from time to time but after 3 months of this there are zero indications of any holes. This tarp has folds in it where the wheels drive over it and dirt tracks but no damage. It's pretty impressive. I give this 10 stars.

I bought a set of two 4"x6" tarps. They appear to be well made and I assumed they were identical. I used the first one as a template for drilling anchors for the second one. When I went to install them I found out that one was several inches wider than the other. I also found that the grommet spacing and placement was irregular and totally inconsistent from side to side and even the distance from the edges. One side had 6 grommets and the across the parallel side had 5. None were evenly spaced on either of the tarps. One tarp had grommets on all 4 sides and the other only on two sides. I made them work but kind of a pain in the... Otherwise I expect them to hold up a lot better than the cheap ones they are replacing.

This big tarp protected and sadled 65 tons (three loads) of 1" - 2" river rock and abuse from my Kaboda tractor and front loader. Though eventually tore up, it did the trick as hoped. Tarp was worth the money!
