The unit works well, but could have more lower back support. The larger base waist belt has no stretch. The support comes from 2 undersized elastic straps. Even though adjustable they have no real holding power. If base belt was elastic and the adjustment belts bigger/stronger it would work great.

This is a really nice full spine and posture support brace. Son wanted something to help keep his spine properly aligned and to help him keep correct form while working out and afterwards. He has been using this brace and he likes the extra stability and support it provides. He wears it just snug enough to lend some gentle guidance, but not so tight that it restricts his movement. It really makes him aware and reminds him to maintain good posture and spine alignment, and to use proper body mechanics while working out and weight lifting. He was a little annoyed the first time he put the brace on, as others have mentioned, there are a few straps that you need to fix and adjust to get going the right way. However, these straps, along with adjusting the Velcro, provide the ability to really customize the fit and make the brace conform to your back like it was made just for you. Son has been using this brace for almost 4 weeks now, and he said he feels weird when he takes it off or when he didn't have it with him at the gym twice. He said he felt vulnerable and naked, lol. He has definitely noticed less post-workout muscle fatigue and his back feels stronger now, which is what his intention was when he decided to start wearing a posture brace. He feels that it has helped train his back muscles to be more supportive of his core muscles, and he's happy about that.

This posture corrector has been useful for alleviating back pain and improving alignment while I go about daily tasks. I like wearing it during housework or while working at my computer because it helps remind me to keep my back straight. The adjustable size is convenient and ensures that it stays in place without slipping. However, wearing it for a long time tends to make my back feel sweaty and warm, even in a climate-controlled room. The material doesn’t seem to allow much airflow, which makes it less comfortable for extended use. On busy days when I need consistent support for several hours, this becomes a bit of an issue and reduces its practicality for me. It’s a sturdy and supportive brace, but improved breathability would make it much better.

I had gotten a compression fracture in my L3 Vertibrea so I have been trying LOTS of different back supports. This is the first one that I could wear that didn't push down on my hips and cause discomfort with my injury. It is comfortable for me and it will seem to help, but I am not a doctor and can't say medically that it will work for you. That little disclaimer out of the way, it is a little daunting when I first took it out of the package. Straps everywhere. I found the best thing was to first lay it out and see where the straps are and which direction they pull. the strap that goes over one shoulder has an adjustable pull that comes outbehind the other shoulder and goes down diagonally to the waist belt. There are two adjustable straps that go around your waist, as well as the waist belt. To make it easy, I first put the waist belt on and secured it. I then put my arms thru the shoulder straps. Next I pulled the adjustable waist straps to give my lower back some compression, then I pulled the shoulder straps down and secured them. Everything is secured with velcro. Adjust the straps to get the fit and support you want. The nice thing is it does keep you standing a little straighter, but you can easily bend and twist. This brace didn't constrict my movements at all. Once everything is adjusted, just open the waist belt and take it off like its a vest. The next time you put it on, do it like a vest and snug up any straps you need. I haven't gone beyond trying it on and adjusting everything, but in that short time, I really think it will work far better than all the other braces I have

It doesn’t slide up in the torso area like my old one. Velcro is great and the fact that the shoulder straps are adjustable is great feature compared to my old one too. Reaching back to attach the ends of the adjustable shoulder straps is tough for me because I deal with pain but that may not be an issue for something without that issue.
