-Blink Outdoor Camera 3rd Gen: Pros: They're easy to set up on the app, for the most part. They automatically adjust for day/night change (unlike Blink Mini). Cons: They require a Sync Module as their hub. Accessing live view is slow (up to 10 seconds) since the camera has to first activate on motion, communicate with the Sync Module first, then the router, then Blink servers and back to your phone even if the camera has full WiFi strength regardless of your network speed. If you adjust any settings beyond the default, say goodbye to battery life as you will be changing them every 2-4 weeks. There's no Micro USB splitter that allows you to have both the wireless floodlight and a solar panel connected to the camera at the same time.. -Wireless Floodlight: Pros: The brightness can be bumped up from default and they light up real well. Batteries last a lot longer than the camera. The mounting bracket makes them whole floodlight/camera easy to remove when changing camera batteries. Cons: THEY ARE EASY TO REMOVE, and by that I mean if they are within jumping height, they're as good as stolen, so make sure you have another camera looking at it to capture the moment that happens then contact Blink Support. Make it a habit to power cycle the floodlight often or at least when you change the camera's batteries since the floodlight may sometimes bug out and not light up when there's motion in the dark even though the app still detects the floodlight as connected to the camera. Overall: They're a hassle and the camera eats a lot of batteries, but they're nice to have when they actually work. If you're deciding between wireless and wired, go with wired. All the cons of the wireless floodlight are fixed with the wired model, wired is actually not that difficult to install, and since the wired camera is always-on, viewing live videos is so much more instantaneous. ... show more

I have 3 floodlights, a doorbell, and 4 regular cameras. I love the way they work, very simple to set up, fairly fast notifications, easy to connect after changing a password. My family loves the security the lights provide when going outside to the car or taking the dogs out. No complaints including the price. I wait for them to go on sale. Battery life is amazing! I was disappointed that the blink camera would not pick up motion greater than 3-4 feet. I was using it to catch and deter wildlife from my chicken coop. Tried to move it around and still nothing Except right by the camera

Camera works as describe on Amazon. It came packaged well. Easy to setup and app is easy to use. Good deal for the price. Flood light is is not as bright as I would like but it is still a good light. I only wish the night vison was in color. Otherwise, great starter camera for outside.

I can't post this camera anywhere because I didn't receive a bracket to do so? Update: 10/25/23 I've been contacted by customer service representative. Almost immediately problem has been solved! Satisfaction guaranteed with Blink! Thank you for the support and solution
