This is my second Blendtec. This one is a bit quieter than my previous model although it does not appear to have lost any power at all. I tested it with the Wildside container the day it arrived on some frozen strawberries and it crushed up even the seeds. This is hands-down the best blender that I have ever tried. I have not done the soup although I did see a person do that during a presentation years ago. This makes the most fantastic smoothies ever. Clean up was very nice and I'm glad they put a button just for that. I have also used frozen avocados and other kinds of fruits and it has totally pulveriezed and smoothed everything. I got a deal back on this bundle November 2019 and I simply LOVE THIS BLENDER. I use it in the mornings for a protein-packed smoothie made with coconut milk frozen fruit that I add various supplements to (marine collagen, cacao powder, pumpkin seed protein, hemp seeds, and a few more). It does a wonderful job on the fruit, I start with just the fruit in the coconut milk on the smoothie setting. Then I add in the supplements on blend on low for a few seconds. Afterwards, it is easy to clean with the self-cleaning setting... after the cycle is complete I rinse the jar and let it dry. The only downside is the plastic jar, I refuse to put hot liquids in plastic. I really wish they made a glass jar! ... show more

For the price, I am very surprised at how the little clear plastic piece fits so loose in the cover. And I have two of the containers and covers, so I know it is not just one. It is enough of a problem that I feel I need to hold my hand on the top all the time for fear it might pop out. I do still love the machine but I would like to find out if the company had upgraded the fit of the lid. ... show more

Purchased this blender after weeks of researching the pros and cons of this, vitamix, nutribullet, and cuisinart. Narrowed it down to the Blendtec and Vitamix because of the blade mechanism. Watched a hsn demo of this particular blender and fell in love with the SNOW ICE making capability. Well, opened on my birthday, washed it, and first test of "Snow Ice" was a BIG FAIL. Used the 32 oz jar and filled to the line and it had too many cubes still. Pulse still didn't break it up and it turned into a ice block. Next tried ice with Perrier peach and it separated the liquid and made a MESS getting it out of the pitcher into a cup. Next day, made a frozen drink. Used about 8 -10 oz of liquid and 2 cups ice. Came out silky smooth. I don't want to add liquids to my ice. I want SNOW. LOTS OF IT. Also, tried to use it to chop vegetables like salsa and because it was less than a couple ounces it didn't work. Still had big chunks. Too expensive to not do multiple tasks. ... show more
