  • Very good for the price
Is really good for the price. Bluetooth connects perfectly every time. Never have an issue. Note this amplifier is not meant for subwoofers nor is it meant to supply a lot of bass. I see reviewers commenting on those 2 topics but as said it is not meant for deep bass this is meant for high or all pass for door speakers for quality sound. Super simple to install and setup if you know how to tune. Gain shouldn’t be any higher than half way unless you’re using a very old head unit. I’ve used this amp in multiple vehicles including motorcycles, ATV, golf carts and classic cars where the owner does not want to modify the factory audio. And it has worked for me flawlessly every time using Bluetooth or rca. Build quality is much better than I expected originally. Only supplies average 100w rms per channel but that’s perfect for most builds. This keeps it simple to have Bluetooth built in. I have found that the lil antenna does come loose so I’ve been using a drop or 2 of blue loctite and hand tighten seems to have fixed that issue. Bluetooth doesn’t reach too far but I’d say a good 10-15 feet which is plenty. Wattage rating are very overshot this is not near 1600watts that it claims. Dynoed at about 600 max and about 300w max rms bridged. Most door speakers can’t handle more than 60-75w rms so it’s not a deal breaker for me just a bit annoying that they advertise a lot more than it really is. But again for the price really can’t go wrong ... show more

  • Good power and features for the price.
The Blaupunkt Amp 1804BT is actually pretty decent. I've been involved with car audio since 1986 and have used all manner of brands and have experienced the advancements in amplifier technology over the years. The 1804BT offers good power in an easy to install package. I used the RCA inputs for my initial testing. I wired the front channel speaker outputs in stereo with the crossover set to around 80hz to a pair of 100 watt rms per speaker pair of Polk Audio DB652s. I left the rear channels unused at this point. In this configuration the amp provides clean power with plenty of volume. The mids and highs were clear with no added noise from the amp. I then disconnected the front channels and wired the rear two channels in bridged configuration to a single 300 watt rms rated JL Audio 10W0V2 4 ohm 10 inch subwoofer with the crossover again set around 80hz. Honestly I didn't expect much out of the JL woofer with this amp but, I was pleasantly surprised. The bass was punchy when it needed to be and it got deep when it needed to. The final test with RCA's connected for me was running the amp with the Polk 6.5s on the front channels and the JL 10 bridged on the rear channels at the same time. In this mode the amp performed admirably. I ran it at high volume for at least 30 minutes and the amp stayed cool. I then kept the same speakers hooked up to the amp and used the amp's Bluetooth connection. It paired with my Android phone without any issues. I did however need to adjust the amp's gain controls when using the Bluetooth feature as it seemed to offer a more powerful signal to the amp versus my stereo's 5 volt RCA outputs did. My advice, just be sure to properly set your amp's gains no matter which input you use. This amp is compact. It will easily mount in an out of sight location. Just be sure it has proper ventilation. ... show more

  • Not True BT stereo
This is not a bad amp for the price, but I needed to use it exclusively for the BT adapting feature as I use iPhone exclusively for music streaming in my classic car. While it pairs well, and the sound is plenty loud but not much bass, it is mono when BT paired. That was the deal breaker, it's mono. And I tested it / validated that aspect. Had to send it back and went with a separate BT adapter and separate amp. ... show more

  • Great Bluetooth Amp for Classics Cars
This was installed in a ‘71 Chevelle where the head unit was removed. Small enough to hide under the dash and keep the classic car, looking original without running wires all the way to the trunk. Easy to wire with 8awg kit (purchased separately). Hooked up to two rear 100w Alpine speakers and it sounds pretty nice. A few downfalls: 1. There is no adjustment aside from the volume through the cell. An interface does not exist. 2. When pairing, it asks for a PIN, there is no documentation of a PIN in the package or on the box. Mine was 1234 3. Without an installed radio, there is not a good instruction on how to ensure the amp does not stay powered on if wires to battery. I opted to use the remote wire/connection and run that to the Accessory circuit in the fuse panel. That allowed it to power in/off with the key. Overall for under $100 it was a huge savings not having to install a stereo unit and keep a clean look. This is great for classic cars for sure! ... show more

  • Works well, has some limitations
It's easy to install, it works well for what it is. Bluetooth connected quickly. It sounds pretty good. However there are few adjustments. You can adjust gain, and I would say it's pretty loud. Loud is relative; I didn't expect a 1600w of power out of a little amp. As others have said, 65w/channel is probably more accurate. You can't adjust bass/treble. I suppose someone smarter than me may be able to adjust the out put of your phone. But what I really didn't think about is Fader controls. You can't adjust between front and back speakers. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but I have 4" speakers in the front of my car and 6x9"s in the back deck. The rear speakers way over power the front. As for bass, the amp pushes the 6x9"s well. All in all, I'm impressed and it allowed me to get rid of my ugly homemade center console and retain the original look of my classic car. ... show more

  • From skeptical too impressed
At first I was very apprehensive about this purchase. After a bit of research I found out that this isn't actually made bye blaupunk they just lease their name to some other manufacturer. It was smaller and lighter and louder according to its Packaging then what I've currently been using the 1000 watt dual amplifier which is also a Class D. I was looking for something in the same size that could deliver just a little bit more sound. Initially when I unboxed it I was a bit disappointed. Build quality looks low, like cheaper Chinese Industrial Park low. All the screws are Easley stripped Phillips head screws, opposed to your typical hex screw. They threw a 30 amp fuse in the bag with the wiring harnessed, almost as if it was a afterthought. It has nowhere to put a fuse. So you'll have to purchase some additional Hardware so that you can even put a fuse in line with the system. The manual is garbage. This is the only amp I've ever seen that states that you will have a higher wattage running in 2 ohms opposed to 4 ohms. After I wired it up with the high input, and plugged it in in place of my 1000 watt dual, I was disappointed it was not discernibly louder in anyway, if anything the base was a little bit less. So if you're reading this and you're thinking this doesn't sound like a 5-star review. Well let me tell you what, when I put it into Bluetooth mode it made my ears ring. Using just the standard wired inputs this thing is not impressive. But that Bluetooth mode goes hard. I had to turn the gain down to not blow out my speakers. So happy I went and bought another one. To shaghal ltd ( the manufacturers): have your product built in a slightly nicer Industrial park. Spend a little bit more money on producing your product. 1 install a location to mount a fuse directly into the amplifier. 2 ditch the cheap Phillips head screws, and go with standard hex screws. 3 add an additional Crossfade or two. 4 give the Bluetooth Input its own stand-alone gain. 5 pay someone to redo your manual, and graphics. If you could do all of these things I will gladly pay double. I'm still in my infancy with testing out this product. But my initial reaction is positive. If for some reason this product dies quickly or overheats , I will lower my score and update this review, to reflect. Update August 2024 (3 years later): amplifier still goes strong. I've now purchased a total of five of these and have installed them in every vehicle I had. I've blown a few 30 amp fuses here and there but I have yet to blow one of these amps. Definitely recommend running it with a capacitor/ferrod. When you don't I can tell that the base starts to clip. I did break a Bluetooth antenna off one of them by putting groceries in the trunk. But that's mostly my bad for poor mounting location. Bluetooth still works but only in the car. Previously it worked a good 20 ft plus away. ... show more

  • Great amp for the money!
I just finished installing one of these in my 74 Corvette and I'm honestly impressed - which is rare with cheap audio equipment. Factory radio is still hooked to the dash speakers, so I'm only using the Blaupunkt for Bluetooth to the rear and kick panel speakers. This amp puts out 115-120W RMS at 2 ohms, as proven by several YouTube videos when tested. Hooked to Clarion 3-way 6x9s in the rear and Clarion 5.5"/1.5" tweet combos in the kick panels, this amp sounds really good. All of the Clarions are 20+ years old too. Using Bluetooth to stream music does degrade the sounds a little in my opinion but Spotify has an EQ built in and tuning a bit with that helped a lot. If your music app doesn't have an EQ, download one from the app store. (It's better to pay a few bucks for one, and ditch the ads.) I wasn't expecting it to sound this good at all. Definitely ordering a second unit for my Squarebody Chevy pickup! ... show more

  • Horrible! Don’t waste your money.
I bought this to boost the sound in my Kia Forte stock head unit. It sucked from the beginning. It interferes with my radio. Caused my speakers to have some static. It even stayed on after my radio was turned off. My husband had to keep adjusting the gaines. Nothing worked. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to return it until I was able to afford a better quality amplifier. Just installled a new pioneer amplifier and everything works perfectly. Don’t buy this. It’s not worth it. Just wish I could get my $100 back. ... show more
