    • You get what you pay for
I give this 4 stars for the value alone. Does it put out the watts it says it does? No. Can it sustain max wattage for extended periods of time without blowing up? No. However if you realize that and don't max out the gain or max out the bass boost and only expect to get about half the watts then you still get a good amplifier for the money. If you install this expecting 750w and try to use that much power constantly you will blow it in less than a month. ... show more

    • Great Basic Car Audio Amp
This is a great basic amp for upgrading car audio; not crazy powerful but good clean sound. This amp will demand some amperage to function properly; minimum 8ga. wiring and dedicated 40A fuse straight from the battery. I suggest using an 8ga. ground circuit straight to the battery as well for trouble-free power delivery. This amp will get hot when running hard; proper ventilation will be important to prevent overheating. It is capable of driving 4-ohm speaker loads, but the use of 8-ohn units will reduce power consumption and heat generation. Take the time to tune the gain control and high or low-pass filters to work with your head unit / speaker combination; I prefer a test-tone CD recorded at 0db, but just playing some well produced music will work as well. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I replaced a tired old JVC amp with the Blaupunkt to drive a pair of 6 1/2 inch Infinity Kappas. Should have done this a long time ago. I was first introduced to Blaupunkt while working as a Volkswagen mechanic in the early 80's. Blaupunkt was the 'GoTo' premium sound offering in VW back then, and there was no compromise on quality. It's nice to see that that trend continues today. The sound quality is impeccable, insane lows, crystal clear highs, zero EMI noise, and multiple 'fine tuning' pots allow you to get the absolute most from your speakers. At 120 watts output, I couldn't stay in the enclosure, I can't imaging how loud this is going to be once the speakers break in and I can approach full volume. (For testing purposes only, you know *wink *wink.) For the output, the footprint of this amplifier is surprisingly compact, It shouldn't be hard finding a spot to fit this amp in your car. No music from the speakers because my spoady android mic on my phone would do Pink Floyd no justice. ... show more

    • Stopped working before a year passed.
Worked great when it worked but stopped working within a year of installation. Used to push two base mtx 12's and just stopped working with low volume. Checked wiring amd cables to no avail.
