As other reviewers mentioned, the cap is way too tight. I removed the cap retainer and added a thin flat washer between the tangs and the cap. That helped but still had to bend the tangs slightly. A slightly smaller diameter O-ring might be an option. I also used some permatex on the )-ring to hold it in place in the cap. Overflow hose nipple on the radiator is 5/16 and 1/4 on the overflow can. I used some clear vinyl tubing (3/16 I.D-5/16 O.D) as a "bushing" on the can nipple to slide the 5/16 hose on. I used this as an overflow tank in our 98 Wrangler. Chose to flatten the brackets and use screws instead of the rivets that came with the tank. Good value for the price. Roll Tide.

Should have 5/16 " fittings vs 1/4". Originally the cap was nearly impossible to remove. Once removed and O-ring lubricated with silicone it was fine. Most radiator necks overflow fittings are 5/16" . I used heat shrink to size for the 5/16" hose. Overall, a quality made product.

Other tanks vent thru their cap. This allows steam from the radiator to vent all over the engine bay making a mess. This tank forces any overflow to be vented from the bottom of the tank. Because it is SS it should last a long time and look as good as new after years of faithful performance.

Cap needs work, very difficult to get off, actually had to clamp mounts in vise and use rag and large pliers to get it off the first time. The cap is somewhat polished aluminum and tank is nicely polished stainless, the cap needs better polish job or chromed.
