We have one of the commonly made chicken runs. It came with a tarp that was of poor quality and lasted about 1.5 years in Florida weather. I was finally able to find this one a replacement. It is excellent for this purpose!! It is the perfect size and has plenty of grommet rings in the right places. It is also of much better quality than the single-layer tarp that came with the run. We purchased this tarp as a tarp for camping we have camped for over 20 years and this was the worst tarp yet. #1 it was very hot since it is black on both sides, that's my fault for not paying attention to the color. #2 it fit our campsite perfectly however did not hold up to the 16 hours of rain and little bit of wind we received. #3 metal grommets were ripped out in 4 places 2 on the corners and the other in various places. We were not impressed by the so called excellent quality of this tarp. We have bought much cheaper tarps in the past and have had wonderful experiences with them. We actually took one just in case but this one allowed us to get thru the weekend. I should return it but I guess it will be an okay tarp for covering our wood for heating our home in the winter. Will not purchase again, very disappointed in how much I paid for this to get one camping trip out of we. We camp at least 4 times out of each summer. Time to purchase something else as next camping trip is only 2 weeks away. Hope you have better luck than we did if you are relying on this as a camping tarp. ... show more
