It’s so hard to find a product that keeps natural wavy , curly , kinky hair in place for braids but this stuff WORKS ! My normal go to is shine n jam for braiders but THIS , omg ! I recent cut all of my hair off to start fresh , so I’ve been wearing a lot of protective styles to see growth quickly and it’s hard to get my natural hair to blend with synthetic hair because it’s so thick and curly but after applying this to my roots , parts and ends to blend , my hair looks freshly done after 2 weeks ! It’s amazing ! And it holds edges really well . Of course you may have to reapply daily because of showers but it holds edges down all day until then . Absolutely NO flaking and it’s not greasy like some edge controls are . If you have thick , natural or even just curly hair , you should definitely try this . It’s worth the money . And it smells really good too .

It didn't work for my 3c nor either of my niece's 4c types of hair at all in holding it down. My hair is very curly and one of my niece's 4c hair is curly as well. It held her edges overnight at least and it kept all of our hair moisturized but other than that it's a no for the holding power for us and our types of hair. But in fairness we can't find anything to hold our hair down except Dax Beeswax and the Olive Oil Eco Style Gel and it takes a hell of A LOT of manipulation to even get that done but it works. So I guess for now we'll just have to stick with that. Now that we're all natural we just need a more sleek look but I guess that's not going to happen and we're just gonna have to deal with the "sticky icky's" which are what happens when our hair is completely dry and our curls start popping up all over making it look like we have split ends sticking up all over our heads. It's horrible but oh well.
