Definitely you will need two or more people to install a new awning canopy material. I upgraded to the automatic electronic arm. It’s a bit tricky to install, but once you figure things out, it went extremely well. Don’t hook up the wiring until you are done installing. I used my 18 volt drill battery to extend, checking the alignment. Change the polarity of the wires to reverse the awning. You want to watch for the new canopy material to unroll and roll evenly.

The awning itself seems to be well made and sturdy for a lot less $. I had a problem with the unit retracting well and contacted the company. They quickly responded and sent a replacement motor and a booster (DC-DC step up to 19v) to add in. Once I completed the replacement the unit ran flawlessly. I am extremely happy with the response of the company and the quality of the product.

Sturdy arms compared to original awning but struts are so stiff awning will not roll up without manual help while someone else pushes the control button Motor is underpowered or struts too stiff Also little to no slant when awning is open even after adjusting to max slant Update After submitting my review the seller contacted me and is sending a new more powerful motor which should resolve the issues Very responsive and I probably should have contacted customer service immediately.

Works but when got it all up and together and fully installed I noticed that the roller tube sages at the joints. Sent email but got no response back from anyone to resolve the problem. Don’t know if it is cause I got the 20 foot one. But it sages where the joints are.

Beefy frame directions were ok. Just make sure to install the awning rails as close to the fabric rail as possible. Also the motor seems to be under powered but does work. It's just slow. And there is no manual way to crank it in if it fails. Other than that it's a great awning for the money
