  • Exactly as shown and explained in pic's on items page
I am over the moon happy with this, have used it 3 or 4 times now. My old one gave up the ghost, heating unit burned out, and when Prime had it's sale this showed up in my deals. Very easy to use, light weight, works well so far, has 3 different settings, toast, bake, broil. As far as if it's noisy, I dont' have a clue as I'm deaf, so sound levels are never an issue for me. Heats up quickly, and it warns you in instructions about the temp of the frame and about not touching when hot. So far, nothing to complain about and am very happy with it. ... show more

  • Perfect for small spaces
The media could not be loaded. My Hamilton Beach toaster oven finally gave up the ghost after 40-odd years, so I needed a replacement; this is the only oven I could find which would fit in my available space. It has a lower wattage than my old one but I checked the internal temp with a thermometer and it did reach 450°F with time. I found the timer knob very stiff to turn, and in fact could not get it to "stay on" because I was afraid if I twisted it any harder it would break. After three or four uses it must've loosened up a bit because I finally was able to get it there (you turn it clockwise to set the timer but counter-clockwise to "stay on"). The knob is just as hard to turn the other way if you need to manually turn it off, too. You would think the ticking is from using the timer function but it ticks the entire time it's powered up (which I suppose is a good thing, because if you forget to turn it off the ticking will remind you that it's on. That's how I killed my old oven; I accidentally left it on all night and it was never the same afterward). (EDIT: It NO LONGER ticks when using the "stay on" function. Dunno if that was an anomaly or what.) One thing my old oven did that I wish this one did is when you opened the door the rack would pull out a little way so you didn't have to reach all the way inside the hot oven. So that took some getting used to. I baked some frozen pot pies in it and they were nicely browned, but I've also baked some frozen breaded chicken breasts a few times and have never been able to get them crispy, despite me turning the oven higher than the recommended temp (my old oven used to do them perfectly). So I took off a star. (EDIT: I've since started leaving the oven turned to the highest temp it will go and it cooks everything ok, but I still can't get frozen breaded chicken breasts to get crispy.) One thing it has over the old one is heating elements on the top and bottom, which I like. So overall I'm happy with it. ... show more

  • Works great!
I've had this toaster oven for about a month now and, after doing some scavenger hunting on the internet for instructions and a little trial and error, I think it's going to pretty much replace my regular gas oven. Let me save you a little frustration as to the lack of instructions, especially pertaining to the convection feature. If you select the "Bake" setting, the convection feature is activated. There is no way to turn it off, which is actually fine. What I have discovered is, if I'm baking baked goods (cookies, muffins, etc) you need to decrease the baking temperature by 25 degrees or reduce the baking time by about 25 %, or both. If you reduce the temp, start checking for doneness about 3/4 of the way through the baking process. If I'm baking a casserole, which contains more liquids or the like('cream of' soups, eggs, cheese, etc) I use the recommended temperature in the recipe and let it cook the full amount of time. I made a tuna noodle casserole last week and it was perfect using the recipe exactly as written. I haven't used the broil feature for meat yet, so I don't have a point of reference for that feature and, as I'm single and just make toast in a regular 2 slice toaster, I also don't have a review for the toast feature (I don't need 8 slices of toast at once.) What I LOVE about this oven is being able to use my regular pans! I had a smaller toaster oven before and got frustrated by having to buy special pans for it. I ended up buying a lot of disposable aluminum pans. With this oven, I can use all of my regular pans (I have several Pampered Chef ones that I wasn't able to use in the old toaster oven) except for a couple of my larger baking stones. So far, everything has baked so much more evenly than in my full sized gas oven that I'm absolutely thrilled. So, as far as the way the oven functions and the results I've had when cooking with it, I am very satisfied with this oven. The only negative comment that I have about it is that the instructions are almost non-existent. An individual shouldn't have to do 2 hours of research online and watch youtube videos to learn how to properly use this product. They really need to include an actual instruction manual, with a few recipes included for each feature of the oven, instead of a big sheet of pitiful basic instructions that are written in about a dozen different languages. I think that most of the negative reviews that I've seen could have been avoided if this were the case. Does the outside of the oven get hot? Yes, it's a toaster oven, not an insulated range, so move it away from the wall. The crumb tray slides into the slots underneath the OUTSIDE of the oven, it doesn't go inside and I believe this is the reason that so many people are saying it never gets hot enough. The convection feature comes on and stays on when baking, there's no way to shut it off. All of this could should be explained in an actual instruction manual. My last comment pertains to the price. At $67 in November, this oven was a great value. Less than a month later, it's $96!!!! Had it been this price originally, I'm not sure I would have purchased it. So, my review is A for the the oven itself, D for the lack of instructions and the $30 price hike just before Christmas. ... show more

  • Satisfied customer
Tried to live without a toaster over but couldn't do it. This is the perfect size for a couple. Had to read instructions to figure out the 3 dials but now use it whenever we need to heat or reheat food without turning on the oven.

  • Not a good fit
The item is great, it was too small, so I returned it.

  • Toast timer is difficult to use. Short cord. It works.
Like others say, the oven bake works great. The entire oven, and its outside gets very warm. It could be better insulated. The toast dial is terrible and hard to use. The timer dial has a lot spring recoil and therefore it is difficult to set an exact time for cooking. Once you set the dial, the recoil turns the dial too low and it turns off sooner. If you try to compensate by setting the dial a little higher then it is enough to burn toast. Also There needs to be finer increment marks to help set the appropriate time. It cooks toast unevenly. It has a short cord. I like the clean up catch tray at the bottom. Overall, it is an ok toaster but a simple pop up toaster would work better for toasting. Not great value for your money if it is difficult to use compared to a pop up toaster. ... show more

  • Poor labels on controls
The unit works very well. The one downside is that the labels on the controls are somewhat faint, making them very difficult to read, especially in low light.
