  • Wonderful product
I purchased for my husband. He loves it. It holds charge even when not in use for a while. The size is just right and we love that it's cordless. Price is worth it

  • Great drill.
Cordless but powerful. Works great. I couldn’t ask for more from this tool.

  • Good entry level drill for a homeowner. No light though. For any more demanding projects I wouldn'
Its a decent drill, I got it for a good price but at full price I wouldn't think it was worth the cost. It would be so much better if it just had a little light on it. I find the little space on the back to put a bit useful for when I have to swap out bits while working on something. It does not have a ton of power for more demanding jobs like construction or home repairs but I would say this is a good quality drill for a homeowner who relies on a handyman or laborer for more labor intensive jobs. If you're just mounting some shelves or a tv or assembling some furniture this is a great drill especially if you get it on sale. But just keep in mind that it doesn't have any light on it; the drilling bits that it comes with were not so great for any material tougher than wood I broke a few pretty quickly trying to put a small hole in a mild metal. They work fine for wood but just be careful using it on anything else. The drill feels like its an okay weight and wont cause you to feel like you have to put it down all the time because its too heavy when you're working with it. ... show more

  • The right tool for the right job(s)
I can't say enough complimentary things about this drill! I purchased it when I began a long-term home renovation project two years ago and have used it extensively since then. To date, it has been used to install numerous fixtures (lights, fans, etc.), drill and assemble custom built shelves, fasten over 2,000 square feet of drywall, fasten cement board for tile floors and backer board for custom showers, and many other tasks. A few specific notes: 1. The battery life is great; however, you may notice a bit of a battery drain when performing heavy duty tasks like driving self-tapping screws into backer board (which is extremely dense, so the drill has to work very hard to complete this task). Even when performing this task, I did not find myself running out of battery power in the middle of tasks. I typically charge the battery every few days, but I found myself needing to charge the battery on a nightly or semi-nightly basis (which is still not bad at all) when taxing the drill heavily. I have never needed to purchase a second battery because one charge easily lasts through a full day of consistent use. 2. This drill measures up very well against other cordless drills of the same class. When people have helped me to hang drywall and backer board, their drills have not been able to accomplish the tasks as easily as this one. I have handed my drill to other people on numerous occasions so that they could drive screws the rest of the way after their cordless drills could not complete the task. 3. There are some natural limitations with this drill, but that is to be expected with a cordless drill. For example, I can use this drill with large hole saw bits; however, it is significantly faster to use my 6 amp corded drill for this work. Similarly, when using a spade bit to drill through multiple 2x4 headers, it is much faster to use a more powerful drill. This drill can do the job, but it will take more time since it is simply not the right tool for that particular job. Summary: If this drill is used for the right tasks and is treated well, it will perform better than many drills that occupy higher price ranges and it will also last for a very long time. I have put this drill through its paces many times over in the last two years and it has never disappointed me. ... show more

  • 20V Black and Decker Drill review
I have had the drill for over 2 years and I really like that it holds a good charge. The drill itself is functioning well. It's not extremely heavy and portability is good. A good drill for around the house projects.

  • Battery DOA
The battery was dead on arrival. When I reached out to the manufacturer, they responded quickly (within a minute, actually), which I appreciated, but their solution left a lot to be desired. They told me to return the entire drill set through Amazon instead of just replacing the faulty battery. Logistically, I get it; it’s probably easier for them to have Amazon handle full returns than them sending a partial part replacement, but as the customer, it still feels like I’m paying the price for something that wasn’t my fault. I even offered to send a video showing the issue, but that part of my message was completely ignored. So now I’m stuck having to take an hour out of my day to go drop off the return, reordering the same product, and hoping the new one works. I get that defects happen, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask for a little more flexibility, especially when I’m offering proof. Plus, how can I trust that the next one won't be faulty either? I ordered an electric screwdriver from them a couple years ago, and the charger failed. Not as bad as "DOA," sure, and the warranty had expired, so I didn’t push it, but I’ve owned other tools that lasted far longer. I don’t think I’m being that unreasonable. I just want to buy a product, have it work, and, if something’s wrong, deal with a support team that offers more than one solution. I’ll be looking elsewhere. Quick replies are nice, but they don’t make up for poor reliability or limited support options. ... show more
