My cat decided to make my new chair her territory via marking more than once. It was the old "where is that smell coming from?" deal. She insists on marking her place so her sibling cats won't go there. But it was my new easy chair. I bought a carpet/upholstery cleaning machine and although I used other cleaners, I used the sample of this that came with my machine. It worked so well, I bought this bigger version. Even though I have since made a cover for the chair (recommending vinyl - it worked well), this will be handy for the next time! I had a real challenge. One of my cats left his mark on my carpet. I tried everything, including enzyme cleaners that claim to work on urine pet odors. They didn't work. I normally use a Hoover Shampooer (that I love) with their brand pet odor eliminator shampoo - No difference in the smell. Got a lot of dirt out of my carpet but the odor still remained. When I utilized the Bissell cleaner, the odor was so much better just by per-treating! I was so happy with this product. I let the cleaner sit for a day before shampooing again.
