I liked everything about it with one exception. Says you should face it east which I did. However shifting winds made the house shift because the upper pole merely slips into the lower section and will spin. I drilled a hole into the lower section and thru the upper section.     • The best pole out there, but do you need the Porsche of birdhouse poles?
Solid, great quality, no-brainer to put together and install in minutes. As an experiment, I purchased a similar product at around half the price. By comparison, it required some head-scratching to work out the instructions, and some of the paint had chipped off. The expensive product was better quality and easier. However, would I invest 30 minutes to save $30, when I'll probably never need to mess with the product again now it's installed? Honestly, I'd buy the less expensive one. But if you get frustrated easily, it's a gift for someone who has trouble putting things together, or just believe it's worth paying extra for better quality, this is the one. ... show more

Was looking for a quick but durable option to mount a bluebird house on so I purchased this. It is kind of high as far as the price so I was leery but purchased it anyway. I was not disappointed as the quality is there. It is a durable design and sturdy. The ground socket that screws into the ground was long and easy to screw in and very secure. Only improvement that it could use would be a little larger backing to mount the house to. I used a normal weight bluebird house and was able to attach it with the end results being a stable platform. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one of these poles. ... show more

    • Pole is not stable
I ordered this pole to use to mount a bluebird house. I live in an area of heavy red clay and rocks so wanted to use an auger-type system to get the pole into the ground. It arrived in a plain cardboard box with no instructions for installation and no contact number for assistance. I was able to use a long screwdriver placed in the guide holes to twist the auger into the ground. However, I could not get it to go all the way to the bottom flange. The pole is thin and will not stabilize. In addition, I could not get the thumbscrew on the bottom piece to tighten enough to keep the birdhouse from twisting around freely, even when I used an adjustable wrench to tighten it. No way the birds will feel safe enough to nest. ... show more

Easy assembly of the pole sections, easy to screw the lowèr piece into the ground, and easy to attach the mounting bracket into the bird house. The L-shaped mounting bracket offers the option to either attach to the back of the bird house or the bottom of the bird house, with the included screws.

    • Nice Post for Platform Feeder
I used only the 20" ground socket, one 28" pole section, and the platform flange to keep it lower so that I can see the bottom of the platform feeder I mounted to the post system. It's a little pricey for what it is and it's about the same cost as if I had to drive to the hardware store to purchase all of the parts to build one... it's all about trade offs. ... show more

Very pleased with this item. Couldn’t quite turn it all the way in ground but this may be because I’m not that strong but a bar for leverage would of helped. But it is sturdy even to put a flag in if inverted.

I bought these for family because the snakes get into their bird feeder sometimes. I got two of them. They are easy to put up and certainly do what they are supposed to do.
