The only thing that I would do better is to have hooks for the bags rather than Velcro straps. It's a little weird attaching and unattaching the bags, I think it can be quicker and easier with hooks. This assembles with a sturdy central melamine panel that separates the two sections and gives it structure. The first item shipped without this panel, and after contacting the manufacturer, they shipped out an entirely new unit including the panel, without requiring me to send the first one back. Kudos for the great customer service! Once assembled with the panel in place for reinforcement, this works great. It did have a slight chemical smell as many items made with synthetics do, but this faded after a couple days. Having separate bags to allow for better sorting is great. I wouldn't recommend overstuffing them, since the mesh doesn't seem super heavy duty, but they seem like they'll hold up to average daily use. I love having the lid, so I can use it as a platform for folding clothes, or just to cover dirty clothes when I have company over. With the lid closed it's not obvious that this is a hamper, so for those with small apartments looking to maximize space, this would be a good choice. Overall would recommend this for anyone who wants to better organize their laundry. ... show more

Already have the double hamper but wanted a triple. Bought a different brand and it was too small so bought the single hamper to match what I got. Quality is great BUT why are the handles in the front and back instead of being on the sides? Guess I will have to get some velcro to put on and move the top. ... show more

I've been using these laundry hampers with lids for over 8 years now. I had them in Beige and Gray and now just bought blue. My DD used to play hide and seek in hers so it finally broke on top so I bought a new one. The older style bags had nice cloth handles and even though I have purchased replacement bags before, they still held up nicely. Over time the velcro will become fuzzy and won't stick in certain areas, but that's expected from normal wear and tear. This new blue one I purchased is a great color and my DD loves it. The only difference between this and my originals is the bag style. The bag feels a lot cheaper and doesn't feel as clothlike and the material isn't as soft. Its not a big deal breaker but it was enough to take off a star because I don't think its going to last as long. I'm going to keep using these hampers and use the replacement bags inside as I still find this easiest to carry downstairs to the laundry room. ... show more
