They stay closed!! The little flap that you tuck the zipper under actually works and you don't open your washer to see that all of your special items have come out of the bag. I bought a set of the 3 sizes to try then reordered an additional 3-set as a gift for my daughter-in-law and a set of the large bags for me. I really like these laundry bags for my delicate items. They are very well made and are very roomy. The zipper slips under a small cover to prevent it from snagging on any other clothes in the washer. The price was great, and I'd definitely recommend these laundry bags.

These laundry bags are very strong and sturdy. Do not get the small cheap ones. I tried using the small cheap ones and they broke open in the wash. I lost most of my socks. I have no such problems with these laundry bags. I gave 1 to my room mate and he loves them as I do There are 3 sizes so you have a choose of different sizes for certain items. I use the large size for my pillow cases just to give you idea of these can do certain items. We have to label our items and you can label the bags so you are aware they are yours. It does have a Velcro closure on the band, which is not ideal. As the elastic band stretches out with use, the band needs to be adjusted to a tighter fit. Eventually, the Velcro starts catching your hair, and feels bumpy as you’re laying on it. That is my past experience with sleep masks. I really haven’t had this one long enough yet to know if this will perform as others have. I will say, that this seems to be made very well, and stays in place when you roll onto your side—and those two things are very important in a sleep mask.
