I make toys for my birds by skewering corn cobs, paper cups, wicker balls, etc, with these skewers. My birds love it, it's very easy to use and clean, cheaper than premade toys, and the stainless steel skewers are nontoxic and safer than many of the premade toys (birds can get their beaks caught in the gaps in the metal loops on the end of many toys, but that is not the case with these - no gap, and the metal isn't flexible so they can't pry or bend it into hazardous shapes). Size is as described. If you're looking for a safer and cheaper way to provide entertainment and enrichment to your bird, I highly recommend making your own toys with these. ... show more

I keep thinking the people who make products for parrots haven't ever seen one, or understand beaks. The clip that attaches to the cage is destroyed in minutes. Luckily, I can easily replace it. The skewer bit seems to be touching up well. It's still disappointing that the manufacturers of these things don't understand parrots. ... show more
