  • Phenomenal cold-printing adhesion—no more glue, no more warping!
Size: P1/P2/X1/A1/X2D Color: Frostbite-Orange
I picked up this BIQU Cryogrip Pro Frostbite Plate for my Bambu Lab P1S/P2S setup, and it has completely transformed my daily printing workflow. If you are tired of washing glue sticks off your textured PEI plates or dealing with large PLA prints warping at the corners, this special "cold-printing" formulation is an absolute revelation. Why this plate is a massive upgrade over stock PEI: Unparalleled Cold Adhesion: The "Frostbite" chemical coating is incredibly tacky. I can drop my bed temperatures significantly compared to a standard plate. I ran an entire week of large-footprint PLA prints with the bed set to just 35°C, and they anchored so firmly that warping was physically impossible. Energy and Time Efficiency: Because you don't need to heat the heavy aluminum bed up to 55°C–65°C for every print, the machine heats up nearly twice as fast. Over long print farms or constant runs, the reduced power consumption definitely adds up. Beautiful Coarse Texture: The bottom layer finish leaves a gorgeous, premium matte texture on parts that completely masks layer lines and looks incredibly professional. Critical Usage & Safety Guidance:Adhesion Might Be Too Strong: This plate grips incredibly well. Do not try to rip parts off while the plate is still hot, or you risk tearing the specialized coating right off the spring steel sheet. Let it cool completely down to room temperature. Pro-Tip: If a large PETG or PLA print is completely fused and stubborn, pop the entire flexible steel plate into your kitchen freezer for 5 to 10 minutes. The thermal shock causes the plastic to instantly snap loose on its own. Maintenance Warning: Never use harsh solvents like Acetone on this surface. To refresh the extreme tackiness, a simple wash under the sink with warm water and basic dish soap is all it takes to restore its full grip properties. Final Verdict: The BIQU Cryogrip Frostbite is easily one of the best quality-of-life upgrades you can buy for a Bambu machine. It completely eliminates the mess of adhesives, dramatically speeds up project start times, and offers ironclad first-layer reliability. ... show more

  • Cryogrip Pro Frostbite has absolutely amazing adhesion! I was not prepared for the awesomeness.
Size: Prusa-XL Color: Frostbite-Orange
I figured it was worth a try and that it would do a bit better than my standard satin build sheets. Better than paying double for Prusa's smooth sheet, I thought. WOW. I was wrong - this is a completely different level. Printing with PLA so far, and I can print a 10mm x 10mm tower angled at 45 degrees, and it is perfectly attached even after cooling to room temperature. Just ridiculously good adhesion. I am genuinely shocked how well this works. I have attached an image of my 10x10x100mm tower print, and you can see the quality is excellent, meaning it was not vibrating or jittering even quite high up. Just remember not to use rubbing alcohol to clean it - soap and water only. I'm guessing alcohol will damage the surface. Oh, and I should mention that the texture of the surface almost feels rubbery to the touch - it's definitely a unique feeling compared to a standard PEI sheet feel. EDIT: I dropped it by 1 star since it is still amazing for PLA and PETG-CF (PETG with added carbon fiber bits), but I cannot get regular PETG to stick to it regardless of how I set the temperature; it just refuses to stick at all. I'll update after more testing, but so far, still top-notch for PLA/PETG-CF, and useless for pure PETG. EDIT 2: I figured it out. A good thorough washing with dish soap followed by PETG printing at 55C and it now sticks perfectly. Maybe my test runs at higher temps were depositing some PETG on the surface that was causing an issue. Restored to 5 stars! ... show more

  • Great adhesion! Very durable! Wash it regularly though
Size: MK4/MK3/Core One Color: Frostbite-Orange
This plate works extremely well for PLA and PETG. There are some things that need to be done to keep it at max performance though. 1. Wash it with soap regularly, especially after you touched it with your fingers. Minor oils will cause adhesion to fail! 2. Ignore the recommended bed temperature written on the plate. Use whatever temperature the filament said on the spool. Blue color filaments will cause temporary stain on the plate, but will not transfer to the next print and will go away overtime (takes a very long time though). It’s a lot more durable than PEI with no ghosting from previous PLA prints. PETG will cause some temporary ghosting, but carbon fiber PETG does not. Regular washing with dish soap will solve all issues with adhesion and ghosting. ... show more

  • Not Functional
Size: P1/P2/X1/A1/X2D Color: Frostbite-Orange
While I LOVE the finish this plate appears it will give I CANNOT get this to work on my P2S, I have tried multiple times and PETG will NOT stick to it, causing it to build up on the nozzle and start creating a blob of death. I followed the instructions and even cleaned it to no avail, I REALLY want this to work as the plates finish looks amazing but I cannot recommend it as if left unattended it will 100% cause a blob of death and destroy the print head. ... show more

  • Fails bed leveling
Size: Prusa-XL Color: Frostbite-Orange
Prusa XL fails nozzle clean / bed level, no other plates fail. On the rare event, the print starts (~1 in 20), items stick well.

  • Good build plate for PLA and PETG.
Size: MK4/MK3/Core One Color: Frostbite-Orange
Got these for my Prusa printers. It's true that you can lower the bed temperature. I usually print PLA at 60C and PETG at 90C. With this build plate, the PLA model still sticks at 50C, PETG at 80C, and releases with no drama. Glue not required. Running the heat bed at 10C less helps in saving energy cost and reducing wear and tear of the bed and its components. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Sticky sticky sticky!
Size: P1/P2/X1/A1/X2D Color: Frostbite-Orange
I’ve been a fan of Cryogrip plates since they came out and this orange one seems to be the best. I’ve got other Frostbite plates but ordered this because I like orange. I didn’t expect it to be the stickiest of the lot though! The key to maintaining its superior adhesion is to wash the plate with hot water and dish soap then rinse well. Be sure to select “textured” in print settings because the slicer will lower the nozzle to be a little closer to the bed. I think this plate is great and I'm buying another for my X1C and P1P. I just wish BIQU would make the orange plate for the H2D! ... show more

  • The orange Frostbite is the best plate you will EVER buy!!!
Size: P1/P2/X1/A1/X2D Color: Frostbite-Orange
I have had pretty much every brand and type of build plate made and this one tops them all by a mile. If the best of the other brand plates are a 10 then the blue Frostbites are a 100. If the blue Frostbite's are a 100 then the orange Frostbite is a 1,000. On the rare occasions that a print has an adhesion issue or failed support on the blue Frostbites, then, I will print it on the orange Frostbite and it works every single time. I had a print of a custom design for a set of Deadpool mask eye covers and could not get it to print successfully. I oriented it every which way, tried it on my X1C, P1S, Prusa's, and my A1's and got fail after fail even on my Glacier and blue Frostbite plates. First shot on my orange Frostbite and it reached out and grabbed ahold of the covers and didn't let go until they were done and they turned out perfect. I tried them again on my other plates and fail after fail but perfect on my orange every single time. I can't say enough good things about this plate so I'll stop rambling and you can stop searching. These are the plates you are looking for!!! ... show more
