I ordered this to store and edc item securely when I go somewhere that requires me to leave it in my vehicle. It is a fantastic safe, but the tether cable is the weak point and has a crimped-on fastener at the end that seems like it could pull off too easily. With that being said, I love everything else about this safe. It is quick and easy to setup up by simply pressing the “set” button to set a password. Pressing 1 and then the set button programs the fingerprint mode. Either mode quickly opens the safe, as does the included set of keys. The safe is battery operated and requires 4x AA batteries. If the batteries die, there is an emergency power USB-C port on the front. This does not charge the batteries, and the port on mine is not well centered in its cutouts which makes it hard to plug in the cable. The safe opens quickly and a blue light turns on inside, which is a helpful feature for seeing the items in the safe. The size is perfect for a full-sized edc tool with optic and extended magazine. The weight of the safe is only a couple of pounds, and it would fit nicely in a compartment of a trunk or under a seat. It would hide away nicely. It would also function well as a quick-access safe for a nightstand. Overall, I think this is a good value for the money, although k would also recommend getting a better tethering cable.

First Impression: Straight out of the box, this thing feels like a tank. It’s got a reassuring weight to it that doesn't feel like those cheap, flimsy lockboxes you usually see at this price point. Pros: The value here is unbeatable. It’s incredibly sturdy, and the biometric scanner actually picks up my thumbprint on the first try almost every time—even with my morning "zombie hands." Cons: The interior padding is a bit thin for my liking; I ended up adding a small foam layer to keep my piece from sliding around. Overall Thoughts: It fits perfectly in my bedside drawer and gives me peace of mind knowing it’s secure but accessible in seconds. It’s a solid, reliable choice for home or car storage. Suggestions for Improvement: Improve the quality of the interior lining and maybe add a silent mode for the keypad. Recommendation: Yes, because it offers high-end security without the high-end price tag.

This does what it says, and it seems to do it well for the most part. The safe is made from thick steel sheet and is tough. It can be screwed down to a surface or attached temporarily with a wire cable loop (provided). It also comes with a carrying handle - which many do not. The wire cable is at best a mild deterrent. Not very thick, easily cut with a light bolt-cutter or hacksaw, it had what looks like a crimped terminal on one end to secure it to the box with a single small bolt and nut, and the other looped back with a (stronger) crimped sleeve. That said, it was easily replaced with something significantly tougher. Screw it down for more security. There is a pair of keys (for when all else fails!), unlocking alternatively via a PIN entry or fingerprint. The fingerprint sensor actually works better than a lot of other devices I've used, and it was simple to program and to use. I've had no problem with reliable opening on every attempt so far. It uses AAA batteries x4 - I've not had it long enough to assess battery life, though they say 6 months+. The inside is large enough to easily fit a standard sized 1911, or a couple of smaller items. Pretty good little safe for the price.
