I really wanted to like this product based on many reviews but it wasn't a fit for me. I am starting to grow my hair longer (past shoulder length) and use heat styling most days. I tried spraying this in my (fine) hair for the first use (probably 4 sprays) and then brushed it through. My hair felt dry and crunchy after styling. I will admit it held curls well! Since then I have tried just spraying it in my hands (2 x) and running my fingers through my hair. Despite this it still has the same effect. I can even see residue in my hair sometimes. I spray this thermal active spray on the top only of my clean and damp hair to give the top more volume and it works great. Been buying it for many years and I love it. I hope it is never discontinued along with volumizing shampoo and hair spray. They actually work.

    • Sticky, Crunchy, & Leaves Residue
My hair is thick, frizzy, somewhere between curly and wavy. My search began for a heat protectant spray that had little to no scent. And found this one. I’ve used other Biolage products and gave this a chance. I sprayed it on my dry hair before straightening. It applies very lightly and the scent disappears about 10 minutes after use. The scent is best described as powder like with a little hint of barely floral. As sound as my hair straighter went through my hair. The hair was crunchy and clumped together. The ends were very stiff. By the end of it. My hair was stiff and had no movement. My hands were covered with residue and so was my then clear hair. My hair was coated in what felt like a powdery wax? My hair no longer felt clean. My advice is to pass on it. ... show more
