This headset strap is SO much more comfortable than the original Quest 2 head strap. Very easy to install with a bit of elbow grease. The RGB light can easily be turned off during use to avoid extra battery drainage. On average, I’d say this battery extends the life of my quest 2 anywhere between 2-4 hours depending on game and usage. Other external batteries that clip on to the side of the headset can still be used even with this head strap installed! My only complaint is that it will stop charging my headset if I take the headset off and put it back on. So if I take my headset off for more than a few seconds and put it back on, there will be no indication that the quest 2 is no longer charging and the internal battery on the quest 2 will eventually drain, causing the quest 2 to shut down. This can easily be avoided by unplugging the head strap from the quest 2 and plugging it back in every time you put it back on. But just really annoying if you forget. I don’t know if that’s an issue on the quest 2’s side or the head strap’s side, so I’m not going to deduct a star for it. If you want a head strap that will extend your wear time, both from the standpoint of battery and comfort, this is a fantastic option!

This is better, more comfortable, and FAR more economical than the Meta Quest headstrap. Pivoting arms at the halfway point allow for more comfortable use, the padding over the top strap is welcome, and the battery outlasts theirs by far. Only small point is that it won't show up the same in the Meta OS. You will only have the amount of charge of the installed battery. This headstrap battery simply works as an external charger. Finally, the back has a decorative RGB light, which is a nice touch.

Good battery charger for my Oculus

Edit: The seller contacted me and has exchanged the unit. Exceptional customer service. We were outside of Amazon's return/exchange window but the seller is so committed to customer satisfaction that they went above and beyond to assure our happiness. And the new unit is working wonderfully! Original review: When we first got this strap and extended battery it was great but it began to last less and less time between charges. Now, a week outside of the return/exchange window, it will hardly charge. It's been plugged in for over 5 hours and it's only at 22%, and it was already at 17% when it was plugged in, so in 5 + hours it's charged 5%. Just placed an order for another one (a different brand) in hopes it will last longer than 3 months. Other than the not charging issue it was great. My kid was able to use it and adjust it herself and since it is adjustable she was able to play without feeling like it was falling off of her head.
