I had been painting around and outside our house from last March until November. Add in a fall from the bottom porch step where I landed on my shoulder and then another day when my husband was helping me off with my sweatshirt, I felt a horrible pinching in my shoulder area. I suffered through it for about a month before I finally decided to go to the chiropractor's office where I found out that I had a pinched nerve in my neck which was radiating down my shoulder and arm. It's been going on almost three months and the pinched nerve has resolved, but the pain in my shoulder hasn't. At this point, I'll be off to the orthopedist's office for a likely rotator cuff injury. In the meantime, at my chiropractor's office I found out about biofreeze. My husband has used it for years on his back for sciatica pain. I was always afraid to try it because I have Reynaud's syndrome and anything cold usually hurts me so I avoid it like the plague! Before going to the chiropractor I made the mistake of using Bengay and a heating pad which only made the pinching in my deltoid worse. The heat was dilating the muscle group, making it more inflamed and making it hurt worse. I learned that you want to use cold to reduce the inflammation and swelling. I finally relented to trying the biofreeze and I'm glad I did. At first I was using the gel, but one day after shoulder manipulation my chiropractor used the Biofreeze spray and I found that helped more. There is actually a little bit of an additional concentration in the spray versus the gel. When I use the gel I only feel it on my skin for about 15 to 20 minutes whereas when I use the spray I can feel it for well over an hour and sometimes two depending on how much my chiropractor puts on. I bought my own because I was having such a hard time sleeping at night and it is one of the only things that helps me relax enough to fall asleep. I don't have any problems with my Reynaud's with it. I also get headaches easily from strong smells and I don't have a problem with that either. I'm so glad that I decided to give it a try! It has helped give me a break from the pain.

The performance of the Biofreeze is very nice. It brings nice pain relief. It's ease of use is wonderful because you can turn the spray upside down and it works just as well. The durability is great and I've always loved Biofreeze products as I said. Now as for the smell it's pretty strong, but not irritating at all. I have a chihuahua that will even lay next to my side after I've just put some Biofreeze on. I am under a blanket so it doesn't touch him, because I highly recommend this not get on your animals. I do not know how that will affect them and I do not want to find out. But as for the smell it does not bother my dog one bit.

This stuff is instant freeze in an awesome 360-degree spray can. I love this stuff. Works instantly on charlie horses, cramps, aching shoulder muscles, bursitis in my shoulder, you name it. Sprays on and dries pretty quickly, doesn't stain my clothes. I'm going to be a repeat customer, this stuff works better on me than the other brands. I rarely get charlie horses anymore because I exercise and supplement, but I got one the other night. Sprayed this on, and instantly the spasm stopped and I had relief. That made a believer out of me. I've used it all over and it's potent. Be careful, because when you spray, you will get a little residue on your hand, no matter how careful you are. But it works at any angle, hasn't clogged and works so much better, that is easy enough to fix with soap and warm water. Wash your hands after using. The first time I used it, I guess I didn't realize that I had a little residue on my hand, and I scratched my nose. My nose tingled! I started washing my hands after that with each use, and highly recommend this stuff, it's way better than the roller ball or the sticks or the gel that you get everywhere.

I have had shoulder pain for many years. The rotator cuff in it is the problem. I don't want surgery mostly because some people I know are worse now after the surgery. So to make matter worse my work involves much repetitive lifting with a heat and seal machine. If you read my reviews you will see I have reviewed many items for this pain. When I come home most days are ok but those horrible days is what I bought this for. I really like it and here is why. It is not as much as a cold spray as it is a cool menthol. The cool feeling on my shoulder last many hours. I would say about 3 or 4 hours. The way it sprays is incredible with the 360 degree thing. I can do it myself. You can imagine how difficult it is to spray the back of your shoulder but with this it is easy. It even sprays upside down. I love you do not have to rub it in. With the spray thing and no need for rubbing it keeps your hands from getting covered in the medicine. There is a smell of menthol but not over powering like vicks. Even up close you really cant smell it. It works as soon as you put it on. Make no mistake this does not cure pain or completely make it go away! It adds comfort. I would say it reduces my pain about 25 to 50%. I would call this a part of your pain management regimen. On bad days I come home and take an ibuprofen and then massage my shoulder and then spray this on. That works well. Make no mistake it is not 100% but much much better. I was concerned about the price but to my happy surprise this bottle last a long time. When I run out I will definitely re order and very happy I found it! This is an excellent product. I have chronic back pain, and my physical therapist introduced me to Biofreeze. I particularly like this 360 degree spray. The gel and roll on are good, too, but I find this version to be the most effective. It has a higher percentage of the active ingredient (menthol), and so I have found that it works better and lasts longer. Plus, the 360 degree spray allows me to apply it more easily to my own back. I am fairly active, and when I apply Biofreeze before a workout or working in the yard, my back pain is replaced by an intense, cool, tingling feeling ... which is much preferred vs. pain. It smells like mint, but the odor fades somewhat. Besides, it's just mint. None of the Biofreeze products last as long as the patches that are out there (i.e. 8 hours). However, this Biofreeze cold therapy spray provides GREAT relief for an hour or two, so that I can perform physical activities pain-free, plus it does not fall off when I perspire, like a patch does. The only down side to the 360 degree spray is that it cannot be brought along on flights when I travel, but I keep some of the roll on for those occasions. If you struggle with ongoing pain, this is well worth a try.

First off, Biofreeze had become a very comforting friend to me, it really does help with a lot of my pain. I really like this spray. It's basically an aerosol. So it sprays any which direction which is kind of a necessity. It is by far my favorite way to apply biofreeze. I've used all the types. The only drawback Is that the bottle hoed much quicker. The spray is so great but it does seem to use more this way. A plus (other than already the best part of being able to apply to anywhere with ease) is that because it seems to use more spray and sprays evenly, you can really feel it working much more than the other types (like the more common rub on, non aerosol spray, roll on). Anyways, it's such a good product. I'm so glad I tried this spray out! I've just ordered the spray for the second time. I still have the tube and roll on, but they just don't do as good of a job.

I was introduced to Bio Freeze (roll-on) a few years ago by my Chiropractor and usually buy it here on Amazon in the 3-pack. My (only 46 yr old) body is falling apart and this stuff really relieves pain. I recently realized I had given my last bottle to my parents. Oops! As I was getting ready to buy more this new 360 "can" caught my eye. I ordered two. This IS the product pictured and as described! I'd in a can and is an aerosol spray. It's an even better bargain when purchased via subscribe & save (I got the "20% off when ordering 5 or more items for delivery at the same time" on this. I order items like this individually to count toward the 5 items). Now, to review the Bio Freeze 360 Spray, specifically: I was skeptical. What I love most about the roll-on version is that it gives great pain relief while I don't have to actually touch the product (one incident of an accidental finger in an eye or ear after using a similar product, even after you've washed your hands thoroughly, will sell you! haha). Although it's (also) not being massaged in I figured the roller ball was doing a little of that so, I wasn't sure just spraying it on would actually work. It does! Like I mentioned, I'm kinda falling apart (Hubby continually assures me that "at least you don't look like you're falling apart!" Isn't he sweet?). Because of multiple health issues (I'm donating my body to science FICTION) at 46, I have the arthritis of an 85 yr old. I've used the Bio Freeze 360 spray on my shoulder (4 tears in rotator cuff. Painfully (stupidly?) putting off surgery), on my low back (chronic pain, have had multiple lumbar punctures/cortisone injections and radiofrequency ablation. Google it.) my backside & hip (cramping from referred nerve pain & flared sciatica), my calf, ankle and bottom of my foot (my ankle was reconstructed 23 yrs ago and is pretty much disintegrating....Bone spur, some kind of cyst, and the tendon they used for the repair is, according to the specialists, like "dried, shredded beef." Fun.) But the Bio Freeze 360 spray ACTUALLY RELIEVES PAIN. Pros: •No touching the product or rubbing it in. •Easy to get it to hard to reach areas. •Aerosol can sprays product even when the can is upside down. •Product dries very quickly. Cons: •The plastic spray button will break/fall off if you accidentally drop the can. (I was able to pop it back in though.) •The aerosol sprays a small cloud of mist into the air, similar to hairspray. If you are breathing (normally) while using the product or even after, you will "taste" the menthol in your mouth! Beware of spraying around small children or pets. The "mist" may get into their eyes mouth or nose. While it's a small amount and is probably not harmful, it may be unpleasant. This routine works well for me: I go into our smallest bathroom, shut the door & spray where needed while holding my breath (it sprays quickly and dries super fast). I quickly exit the bathroom and shut the door behind me. The "mist" dissipates fast enough (in a few minutes) that turning the bathroom fan on didn't seem to make much of a difference. In the summer I may step outside (but our house is very secluded. If you have neighbors, depending on where you need to use this, you may not want to "expose yourself" haha!). Please note there are a few of these listed for sale but all are not what is pictured! You must read the reviews to determine if they are actually shipping this (a thin aerosol can, similar to a can of hair mousse or hair spray) or the plastic spray pump bottle. Reviews seem to like the product in the spray pump bottle even though it's not what they actually ordered. I prefer to get the product described & I think I'm ordering.

Bio freeze is a wonderful product that I have used for years. The spray can is awesome so I can put it on without asking for help for getting it to just the right spot. I can take care of it on my own with the spray bottle. It works, and dries fairly fast. Love it! Only complaint is the price. Give us some frequent flyer miles or something. This is quite expensive yet totally worth it.
