The Bio Ionic AeroGravity Dryer is an incredibly lightweight and compact option, and the folding handle makes it perfect for packing light. It packs a lot of airflow for its size and dries hair quickly while keeping frizz to a minimum. However, at this premium price point, the performance doesn't quite match the sheer power or rapid drying speed of a Dyson Supersonic. Additionally, the attachments require some physical force to click into place rather than utilizing convenient magnetic connections, and the button placement takes a little getting used to. It is an excellent, high-quality choice if portability is your main priority, but it falls just short of the benchmarks set by other top-tier luxury dryers. ... show more

For me, this hairdryer was highly anticipated. The style is great, its easy to travel with, and it is light enough to not leave you with sore arms after the drying process. Overall, I do think this is a wonderful product. That being said, I am not sure Bio Ionic has been able to pin down how to make the hairdryer dry this quickly without a VERY loud sound. Most people probably won't be affected by this, but I get bad headaches from high pitched noises. This is a personal issue, so I am not sure its worth a bad review. I can say that overall, it did dry quicker than my older model from Bio Ionic. Still, sadly I will be returning and trying again. Hope this helps! ... show more

    • Not Worth The Cost
This is not a great hair dryer. I've loved all of the Bio Ionic tools I've purchased in the past, so I decided to splurge on this one. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. For the price, I expected much better performance, and I don't feel it's worth what I paid.

This is an excellent hairdryer, but poorly designed. The controls for heat, speed, and cold shot are placed so that it is almost impossible to use the cold shot without changing either the heat or speed.

    • Great Performance
I love hair tools. Others may disagree but I think that it's totally worth it to invest in high quality hair tools. I have never purchased anything from Bio Ionic before but I've definitely considered some of their products in the past and the brand is definitely known for quality and innovation. I'm on a mission to find my perfect hair dryer. Admittedly, this isn't it but it comes pretty close. First of all, I love how compact this is! It folds up and takes up very little space so it's perfect for traveling. I'm also very impressed by how lightweight it is - - less than a pound - - and yet the amount of air force that this puts out is incredible. This is much more powerful than any of the hair dryers that I've owned in the past. It has three different temperature and three different speed options as well as a cool shot and while I wish that it got slightly hotter I also appreciate that this definitely isn't going to fry my hair. A couple of things that I think are really nice about this hair dryer as well are the long cord (9 ft!), the digital display on the back to show the current speed and temperature, and the placements of the on-off toggle at the bottom of the hair dryer instead of on the handle. It even has a really neat cleaning function on it, which is definitely a plus. Where this falls a little short for me, however, is in the functionality of the attachments. It comes with a diffuser and a concentrator and I honestly don't really like either. Using either attachment really restricts the airflow to the point that it takes much longer to dry my hair when I use an attachment and while I obviously expect that there's going to be a little less force when there's an attachment on the dryer, the amount that the force is throttled here was more than I expected. The attachments are also a little difficult to get on and off; they're not magnetized like with some hair dryers so it takes a little bit of force to click them into place and then to take them off. Do I still like the hair dryer? Absolutely. I love the travel-friendly aspect of it and it dries my hair so much faster than my previous dryer. Despite my small gripe about the attachments I'm super happy to have this dryer and I'm very pleased with the performance. ... show more
