Pros - Great design for small hands. Easy to use and adjust the focus. Good quality for a child since they tend to bang them around a lot of surfaces. Clarity was good for short distances. Strap was very useful and comfortable on the neck. No complaints from the kids in that regard. The case was a nice addition. Cons - In colder climates, the lenses fog up and take several hours to clear. (For reference, used in Florida and then in the Carolinas in the cold.) Cleaning cloth was useless. Took it directly from the cellophane wrapper to use on a small spot and it smeared and left a greasy residue. Had to use own cloth with an alcohol solution to clean. Overall, it is a great pair of binoculars for kids as long as you stay in a warm climate. ;-) ... show more

I bought two of these kids binoculars, one for each of my children, to take along on our frequent trips to the zoo. One of my children took one of the lenses off of his binoculars, but I was able to easily put it back together (a big plus for me)! The binoculars fit my 4 and 5-year-olds' small faces very well and hung around their necks at a nice length. The kids were able to see the zoo animals much better, even from far distances, with these binoculars. I purchased these for a 6 year-old as a birthday present. He enjoyed them, and I'm sure he'll get occasional use out of them for at least the next few years. They were inexpensive, so it's fine if they get roughed up a bit and left in the backyard after a day of playing.
