This is a great winter coat. It is light weight and super warm. You can close it with a full-length zipper, or just snap a few buttons if the weather is a bit warmer (or use both, if the weather is particularly chilly). I've warn the jacket in temps from the teens into the 40s (F) wearing only a light weight cotton shirt underneath, and I have been perfectly comfortable. I like the longer length as it keeps all significant parts of my body toasty. The jacket has a faux-fur lined detachable hood that provides even more comfort on those cold mornings. The hood is zipped in, with the zipper located outside of the jacket collar. This location is great in that the zipper is insulated against your skin, so no chaffing or cold metal. It also provides extra insulation around your neck. The hood also has a cinch tie to pull the hood in close to your face for those extra blustery days. The jacket has three large pockets - two external for warming your hands, or storing your gloves, etc. These pockets have a snap closure to keep things secure. There's also a deep inside pocket, great for storing your phone or wallet. ... show more

I desperately needed a new winter coat but I hate shopping for them. I found this on Amazon in black, liked the reviews, and ordered one in a 1X, I think. On sale. It shipped fast. It was nice and heavy and warm, but seemed a little tight, so I returned it, tried to order the next size up in black, but the sale price didn't transfer. So I ordered the white, which was still on sale, and I love it! Probably the best winter coat that I have bought in years. It is very warm, just in time for our first winter blast. I love the material, it's nice and soft and "puffy", and I don't care that I might look like a giant marshmallow! It comes with a faux fur trimmed hood that is zippered on. I originally took the hood off, but decided the cold air was TOO cold. The hood zipped right back on, and is very warm. I don't like that the faux fur tickles my forehead and is too long in my opinion, but I may trim it later. It is nice and heavy, and works for bitter cold weather. No wind went through! I can use the zipper or buttons to close it. I like that the ample sized pockets have a button on them, too. I don't think it is rain proof, but I can probably spray some water repellent on it. I did that years ago with a down coat I owned then. I would suggest ordering one size up, but that was just my experience. (Returning the first smaller size coat was no problem.) Ordered a size up for reach, bust, and when wearing bulky clothing. This is my 1st mid-length jacket and what I wasn't expecting when I sized up, was to have a super full and poofy [not puffy] hip and thigh gap. I guess if I'm wearing long sweaters, this area will fill in and not swoosh when I move?? I hope! Other than that, great coat, great price, attractive on, and very warm! I am super picky when it comes to pockets, and this coat does not disappoint. The lining is a lightweight, soft fleece material and when your hands aren't in them, there are magnetic button closures to keep your pockets closed. It's not super strong, so I wouldn't put my cell phone in it and not expect it to fall out. Keys??.. maybe, but the pocket isn't that deep for peace of mind. Zipper is easy and snaps are secure and stay snapped. Though i haven't tried the hood yet during a windstorm, it does cover my head fully shielding my face from the rain. The jacket itself is lightweight and can be worn casual or dressy casual. Worth the price for a couple of seasons. Will get a lot of day-to-day use this winter. 😊 ... show more

This coat is exactly what I needed for these cold winter days. Long enough to cover my butt and top part of my legs. It's warm, zippers up to your chin and I really love the warm pockets. The warmth of these pockets impressed me along with the magnetic snap closure. It also has an inside pocket for your phone, money whatever. It's good quality, comfortable and stylish. I am VERY picky and researched and reviewed alot of coats and this, by far, is the best coat of all. It fits true to size, ( I'm 5'6 200lbs) ordered a 2x, fits perfectly! Not too narrow or humongous. Its super soft with knit cuffs to keep the cold out and a "fur" lining around the attached hood that for once, doesn't look fake, It blends right in. It's a pink color and I feel that it's flattering. Zipper is plastic but if it fails, there are snaps as well. Very pleased. It's new so I haven't washed it yet. ... show more

It feels so good wearing it and the color is amazing. Really gives a royal look. Its also so cute. I ordered small size.
