This is super sturdy and easy to install. It came with sticker guides to align the drill holes, which made it very easy to get the feeder holes aligned. The included screws were "good enough", but as is often the case the metal was a bit soft, and I'm not sure if they would survive a reinstall if we ever move. However, screws are cheap and I am certain I can get them off the wall since none of the heads were stripped. With the bikes weight, do not install this in drywall if at all possible. If you do, purchase drywall anchors that flip outward behind the wall. As you can see in the picture above, I bought a 2x10 board and mounted it to the studs in my garage. Then I mounted the bike hooks to that board at my desired separation. It is extremely secure, and the hooks feel very sturdy - I have no concerns about them bending or failing. Please note, this does not have a plate for the rear wheel, so the rear wheel will touch your wall and make it dirty. ... show more

I located these on the wall studs at 16” apart. I staggered the bikes at 85” and 70” off the floor. This works well for road gravel and my hard tail. For a bigger travel bike it may need to be different. Think about the mix of head tube angles and fork length. With bar width.

    • Self tapping anchors are junk/ product is fine

Broke 3 self tapping anchors trying to use them as self tapping. They just shattered into pieces when torqued with a screw driver. Then pre drilled 1/4 holes and broke 50% of those I tried. Then used some anchors I had on hand instead. Bike Hangers are fine once installed.

These worked great. Worked for my smaller bikes and the big ones. I will buy these again to fit the remaining bikes. Only difficulty I had was keeping the alignment and spacing even. It was more of a me problem than an issue of the produce.

We have a lack of space in our garage, decided to give these a try. They work great, holding up our heavy mountain bikes no problem. We staggered their position on the wall to place them closer together, about 12 inches apart. Only issue is the tire marks on the wall from the lower wheel, but hey, it's the garage. I would recommend putting something up, like cardboard, or just repaint the wall if it bothers you. ... show more

My garage has unfinished walls with exposed studs, so my garage might make for an easier install. I have 8 bikes from Adult 10 Speeds, Adult Mountain Bikes, Adult Beach Cruisers and some kids bikes, these hooks handled all of them no problem. I screwed them directly into the studs using my own deck screws, but they do supply screws. I spaced them all in a row at about 7.5' high along the studs which are 16" apart. Basically it took me about 20 minutes to screw them all in (I got 8) and hang the bikes. My garage space now gained about 150 SF of new floor space....highly recommend, they are also very sturdy and well made. After researching book hooks for a week or two, I made the right choice and these are priced perfectly. ... show more
