UPDATE: As I mentioned in my initial post the bag was a tight fit. After thinking about that I decided to glue Velcro stipes to the case opening. This worked great, I can now close the bag. Just a hint if someone else wants to use the bag for wheelchair batteries like mine. ********************************************************************** I needed a safe lithium battery bag for my wheelchair batteries when flying because airlines require lithium wheelchair batteries that can be removed, to be removed, and carried in the cabin while the wheelchair itself is carried in the hold with the checked luggage. My batteries are large, 21.5 long x 3.5 wide x 1.5 thick inches, and this was the only bag I found that met airline requirements for safe transport and would accommodate my batteries size. The bag is a very tight fit for the batteries but it will do the job I need it for, just cannot close it in the manner it was designed for. The bag is very well made to handle rough handling, the outer shell is thick and when properly closed I would expect it to be somewhat waterproof. Description indicates it is fireproof but I have no way of verifying that; but, another reason it meets airline requirements. There are two straps for attaching it to the rack on a bike or similar vehicle. I feel I will get years of service with this bag. I had good service from the vendor when asking questions, shipping was fast, and it was delivered 7 days earlier than originally estimated. I would recommend this bad for its intended purpose or for a not-so-intended purpose such as I have.

I can confirm that this easily swallows my Aventon Pace 500.3 battery! It's snug, but not too snug. With the velcro straps securely fastened and the flap folded shut 3x, the battery doesn't have much room to move around in there. I use this strapped to my rear cargo rack. The velcro straps are an almost perfect fit for the Aventon rear cargo rack. Not perfect, but close enough to be secure. I was initially a little concerned about how well the folding flap would hold up to bumpy rides. I got an unintentional worst-case scenario when my rack slipped out of position and wound up tilting down to the ground (flap side down!) at about 30 degrees. It rode like this for several miles over extremely bumpy terrain. The flap remained locked shut and much to my relief, the battery stayed in place. I'm skeptical of the "fire resistant" claims given the extreme heat and venting of lithium battery fires. However, that's not why I purchased this bag, so I'm not docking any points. Thanks to this bag, my range has now effectively doubled. Here's to many long trails!

The bag uses a buckle to close. The bag has 2 Velcro straps that can be used to attach the bag to a bicycle rack. The straps offer versatility, the straps can attach to each other to make a shoulder strap or could be individually looped to make backpack straps. The bag is made of durable material. I did not like this bag at first, but I have taken it out a few times and it has grown on me. It is a good battery bag.

When shopping for a battery bag for my Bosch Powerpack 500, it looked like this was the only one that met my needs. There are plenty of battery covers out there, but they don't offer the 360° protection that this bag does. The price did seem high, and the shipping costs added to that. When the BiKASE bag arrived, though, I immediately saw that it was worth the price. It offers great protection and solves the problem of how to pack a spare battery. The bag fits the girth of my Powerpack 500 perfectly, and has some extra length available in which a pack a tool roll. The drybag-style rollup closure keeps everything dry, and even allows me to clip the front of the bag to my seat tube. The two solid Velcro straps then let me lock it down tight to my rear rack so that there are no rattles. Hats off to BiKASE on this one. I'll be looking at their other products.

While this bag is fine for my needs, I don't like how I'm unable to move the velcro straps, which leaves the bag offset on my rack.

I bought the larger version because I was afraid my battery would be a bit big for the smaller version. Therefore it is a bit large for a single battery. I wish the latch was on the edge of the bag - instead of in the middle of one side. I would prefer to wrap the ties under my bike rack and fold them back over the top of the bag, instead of having to wrap them back under my bike rack - much easier with the 1-sided velcro strap. It protects my batteries from damage on the bike rack, as well as secures them to the bike. I like that it is flexible enough that I am able to fold over the material inside my bike basket.
