The Torin BIG RED TAM25671 steel rotating engine stand is constructed with heavy duty steel, providing long term durability with an industrial luster. A built-in steel tray helps you to keep essential tools and parts nearby and organized. The mounting head features (4) adjustable arms and 360-degree rotation, allowing for easy access to any part of the engine and easy procrdure to install. It securely holds most foreign and domestic engine blocks. This rotating engine stand features a 5/8 ton (1,250 lb) load capacity and is equipped with (2) fixed casters and (2) 360-degree swivel casters for smooth maneuverability. The build quality of this engine stand is excellent. High quality materials. the steel was formed perfectly, nice 90 deg. bends, and all the holes lined up. The assembly hardware was also good, metric, which I would have preferred english but, you know, made in china. Two minor concerns is that the bolts that attaches the block mounting arms to the adapter plate are metric grade 8.8, equivalent to english grade 5. They are however, a large diameter so I'm not too concerned. The second concern was with the packaging, flimsy cardboard with barely enough styrofoam to really protect everything well. The box would be fine for a display at a store but really needs a heavier shipping box. Mine arrived with a good size hole in the top. Luckily nothing was missing but the plastic end caps were loose and could have fallen out. Now, on to usage This is a hefty and stout unit. I attached a Big Block Ford 460 engine and it took the weight with virtually no sag to the front of the motor. The 460 is a heavy engine with cast iron heads and intake. The casters are very smooth.     • Good product but TERRIBLE customer service

I got the stand and assembled it. It's of reasonable quality. Seems very sturdy. I was happy. Now, I'm working on an engine that needs an adapter to be bolted to the engine stand, however, when I bolt the adapter, due to the shape of the engine, it's very unbalanced. Difficult to rotate and unsafe to deal with high torque bolts since there is a risk of tilting the stand (that's how out of balance it is). I called customer service. I wanted the pipe with holes that is welded to the head assembly. I wanted one of those pipes because I could weld it to the engine adapter and sort the stand balance problems. Customer service was EXTREMELY unwilling. The claim was that they could only give me the entire head assembly (which I would have to grind to get the pipe out to weld to my adapter). If they could not give me the pipe, I asked for the technical drawing for the head assembly, this way, I could find somewhere that I could buy a pipe in specifications, have it drilled and welded to the adapter. They could also not provide that! The support insisted that "we are unable to advice in product modifications", and were incapable of understanding that I did not want advice. I wanted the pipe! Most likely could be easily sorted if only they were willing to call their supplier and say "we also want you to include one extra pipe in the next shipment to us". So that's it. The product is great, until the point you need their help! ... show more

Love this stand. I ordered this specifically for the wide stance. You can put a giant drain pan under it flat on the ground so when you spin the engine over and it dumps all the fluids. No mess on the floor. Ive used it for aluminum v8s and it has a cast iron big block on it now with now issues. Also has a handy little tray for hardware that swings to both sides. Wish it was foldable though. Takes up alot of corner space. Worth the money. ... show more

Handled the weight of a big block ford 390 with no issues. The swivel tray came in handy it’s a nice touch. It’s arrived well packed and it’s heavy but easily assembled. I was able to roll engine around on uneven concrete without feeling like it would fall over.

Stand itself seems quite robust and should easily support its given rating of 1500 lbs I like that it folds up to reduce floor space when not in use. I would have liked the rear wheels to have been casters like the other three to allow for more maneuverability but that would be a easy modification. My biggest gripe, like others have said is the completely inadequate packaging for a item of this weight. The box it was shipped in was totally destroyed when it arrived and parts were literally falling out of the box. I have know clue how this thing made it to my house with all the pieces. I can only praise the shipper for going above and beyond and getting this very heavy and very poorly packaged item to my door front. ... show more
