I have purchased two of these stands, two seasons apart. I am very satisfied with these stands. Every nut and bolt was in a plastic bag and in another small box inside the stand box. I put this together in about 2.5 hours going slow. All i needed were two 7/16” wrenches. I stood this stand up myself and secured it to the tree. You really need to anchor down the bottom of the ladder before standing these up. Right about when you almost get the stand upright the weight tries to lift the legs up causing the top to tip over backwards. I love this stand. Cannot beat the price. I will probably buy another next season watching to see how they weather staying out year round. ... show more

    • Quality Control?
I have to question the quality control measures taken where these stands are manufactured. The first stand I got I had no problems what so ever with. Although the instructions were something to be desired. I am not a super big guy and found this stand to have just enough room for me and is quite comfortable. I think that a big person will need to go with a two person stand. I don't know how anyone could hunt from a standard single person stand. I liked the stand enough to purchase another one. OMG! what a difference! The second one was absolute junk. I had to pound, bend and drill to make parts fit. I should have called the manufacturer and complained. Then when I went to place the stand on a tree, the ratchet straps were put together wrong and were worthless. As soon as you started to tighten them they let loose so I had to use different straps and toss the ones that came with the stand. Then the seat would not rest on the supports properly. The seat would fall off of the supports. I had to use another ratchet strap to bring the two supports closer together so that the seat did not slip off. You would think that I would have learned my lesson, but no. I just ordered a third stand from Cabela's for $119.98 with free shipping. I figured at that price I would take another chance. If nothing else I will have spare parts since a person is not able to get any replacement parts for this stand. ... show more

    • WORST STAND I HAVE EVER HAD
well when it was delivered the box was smashed a little, when i opened it up to assemble about 6 month later i realized that the there were several bent parts including the seat supports. also the rods go from the seat support to the the ladder were to long and i had to modify them to make it work. The seat kind of scares me the way it sits on the supports. I guess if the package was not damaged i would of known if the stand was ok or not. I will use it but gingerly. ... show more

It’s a good looking stand with plenty of room for one person, but it’s not worth the money. Be ready to do some fabrication putting this together bc the quality control is awful. Pieces don’t line up…get out the grinder. Holes don’t line up…get out the drill. I was luckier than some reviews & didn’t need a welder for the ladder. Until they get the qc in line buy something better. I’ll never purchase another big game product. ... show more

    • Good stand at a fair price
Early review covering initial impression and assembly. I ordered two of these. The first shipment was turned around as "damaged, undeliverable", so it seems Amazon is sensitive to the fact that parts get lost from these when the packaging is damaged. Refund was processed promptly and I re-ordered. Second shipment arrived with minor damage to the boxes, but contents were fine. Initial impression of design and build-quality are good. I like the width of the ladder, platform, and seat. The thickness of the metal and the oval profile of the ladder sides feels nice and sturdy. As other reviewers have mentioned, the directions for assembly are not great, but if you take your time and refer to the real life photo on the front of the box, they're adequate. Definitely take a few minutes to sort out the hardware ahead of time so you're not mixing up sizes while assembling. The package contains (both of mine did anyway) exactly the number of each type of bolt, nut, and washer that are required for assembly. The seat seems like it will be comfortable, but can't know for sure until first multi-hour sit. One minor gripe is the rail covers for armrests and shooting rail, the "padding" they have included is hardly worth the name, maybe 1/8" thick at best. Overall, I'm very happy with the stand for the price, and look forward to using them next season. ... show more

    • Thought I’d be better?
I needed a new ladderstand and 1 that you could stand up on and not worry about noise or loose parts. Plenty of room and a comfortable seat. This has everything, better then the 2017’ model, only when I got it the box was nearly destroyed!, I’m lucky alot of parts didn’t fall free, I had to bend the 2 bars that your seat hooks down over back out, and they got cheap at putting there book that helps you put it together. Im giving it a 4 star right now, I have the Hawk Bighorn ladderstand and I’d take this stand any day over it. That’s coming out and this is going up. ... show more
