  • Good stand at a fair price
Size: 18 FT Color: Black
Early review covering initial impression and assembly. I ordered two of these. The first shipment was turned around as "damaged, undeliverable", so it seems Amazon is sensitive to the fact that parts get lost from these when the packaging is damaged. Refund was processed promptly and I re-ordered. Second shipment arrived with minor damage to the boxes, but contents were fine. Initial impression of design and build-quality are good. I like the width of the ladder, platform, and seat. The thickness of the metal and the oval profile of the ladder sides feels nice and sturdy. As other reviewers have mentioned, the directions for assembly are not great, but if you take your time and refer to the real life photo on the front of the box, they're adequate. Definitely take a few minutes to sort out the hardware ahead of time so you're not mixing up sizes while assembling. The package contains (both of mine did anyway) exactly the number of each type of bolt, nut, and washer that are required for assembly. The seat seems like it will be comfortable, but can't know for sure until first multi-hour sit. One minor gripe is the rail covers for armrests and shooting rail, the "padding" they have included is hardly worth the name, maybe 1/8" thick at best. Overall, I'm very happy with the stand for the price, and look forward to using them next season. ... show more

  • Setup was difficult
Size: 18 FT Color: Black
It’s a great stand once it’s up. Very comfortable. However the shooting rest on this one seems a little flimsy. As for assembly, it was absolutely a nightmare for me. The instructions were terrible, the bolts didn’t seem to match, and I had to watch YouTube videos so I could get it finished. Overall I like it, and I’ve had multiple big game stands. So comfortable with extra height. But assembly was bad. Just set aside some time. ... show more

Great stand and vey well priced. I’d recommend taking out one ladder section. Way more stable and easier to install

  • Rickety, Noisy, Missing Parts, Junk, Uncomfortable - Don't waste your money
Size: 18 FT Color: Camo/Black
I have used and assembled many, many ladder stands. This particular stand is unusual in that it is, by far, the the worst ladder stand I have ever used. To start with, there were missing bolts and fasters. Then a nice cut on my hand where the welding wire was not trimmed properly. There's nothing like a little piece of wire stuck in my hand to make me feel good. I found that little jewell during assembly. So I got some wire cutters and start trimming all the welding wire that they did not cut off. JUNK Then I tried try to figure out the directions. Just throw them out. Phrases like "Must be attached to receivers on the middle ladder section." What receivers? Is there a detailed picture? No. Is there an obvious attachment place? No. Is there something in the parts list? No. Did I eventually figure it out? Maybe. Either way, it's indicative of very poor attention to detail. Later, when I first climbed the stand, I found the last wire stub I didn't cut off, because I managed to stick it into my finger. It's always nice to get hurt by a tree stand, and instills a lot of confidence in the rest of it. There are these little "safety sleeves" that fit over the leg joints. You and the deer will never forget they are there because every time you climb or descend the the ladder you will hear them rattle and clank. All the way up and all the way down. So get some electrical tape and tape them quiet. Why are they on there anyway? I've NEVER seen these devices on a higher quality ladder stand. Is it because the joints aren't strong enough without them? Thats reassuring. JUNK. The ratchet strap is about the lowest quality I've seen in awhile. It looks like it came from the lowest bidder. One look at it, and I knew I had to go back and put a real ratchet strap on. CHEAP JUNK. Once I finally got in in the field, and placed agains the tree, which wasn't easy due to the 5 foot too short pull up straps, I climbed up and was pleasantly surprised to find that since it was a two man ladder stand, they had put a metal cross bar right down the middle of the seat, so if ONE person wanted to sit in the middle then they were going to get a steel bar right between the old butt checks. Needless to say, very UNCOMFORATBLE. So the only option is to sit on either side of the cross bar, so now instead of one person siting in a spacious two man stand, due to the crossbar, I have a cramped 1 man stand, because I have to either sit on the left or right hand side. If I want to sit in the middle, I better bring a hemorrhoid cousin. WHAT A PIECE OF GARBAGE. To top it off, the folding top bar is too low to safely fold out of the way when exerting or exiting. So it has to be down when getting in and our, so I have turn contort and enter the stand by crawling under it, which kind of defeats the purpose of a movable ladder stand. POOR DESIGN. I would send this back to Amazon for a refund, but I'm not going to waste any more time taking it down and disassembling it, reboxing etc. I've already spent too much time messing with it, assembling it, getting stabbed by it, trying to figure out the directions, wasting time putting it up in a tree just to find its the most uncomfortable stand I've ever sat in. I think I will just drive by it with the tractor, rip it off the tree and throw it in the lake for a fish attractor. Thats about all it is good for. ... show more

  • A little pricey but comfortable
Size: 18 FT Color: Black
Recently purchased this tree stand. I’ve spent many hours sitting in cheaper stands. After a few hours my back will be killing me. I’ve got this stand up and ready to go and it is extremely comfortable. I’m anxious to spend the whole day in it. It appears to be a good solid built stand and comfortable. Definitely takes two to set up. It probably took me 30+ minutes to assemble. ... show more

  • Good stand for the price
Size: 18 FT Color: Camo/Black
Stand is good but a little small. Several people said it’s hard to assemble but it’s not, just leave the bolts loose until it’s all together then tighten everything down. One nut was missing. Seats are pretty comfortable. If you plan on two people hunting out of the stand get a bigger one but it’s good for one person ... show more
