  • Very good climbing sticks.
Style: 3-Pack
These are a great value for the money. Strong, easy to assemble out of the box, very easy to use, and super lightweight. especially compared to my old climbing sticks which weigh as much as my old Guide Gear tree stand did. Man, those things were some hogs to drag around, lol. Just to try these out the day after I received them I went out to the wma where I hunted last season and used them to climb up a particularly gnarly old box elder tree, went up and down it almost as fast as if I were on stairs. And I wasn't blown out from carrying them in with me. I am very much looking forward to using these climbing sticks this hunting season. ... show more

Super lightweight. Love the folding steps. They work great. Feel very secure. I am 5'10" 266lbs. Never once was worried

  • Good with a few modifications to make them better
Style: 3-Pack
The sticks themselves are very nice. It was easy to assemble them, and they grip to the tree really well. I too have faced a few challenges, but they are pretty easily overcome. First the suction cup method is a good idea, but they stick together way too tightly out of the box. I tried vaseline and stretching the female end, but it springs back. I found a tip to use a utility knife to cut just a bit of the lip off the female end, and that worked wonders. Now they don't stick together super well, but they seed together and then I use one of those bungee loops with the ball to make sure they don't come apart. I also added an aider like others have, and it works well. Finally, I did not like those loop straps, so I just bought 25 feet of static rope and made the rope mod. I think its 11mm rope. Using the factory buttons, they work well to loop around twice and cinch on the button....rock solid and still quiet. Overall, I would recommend these sticks to anyone looking for a quality product at a great price. ... show more

  • Super simple set up, very secure, and comfortable
Style: Stand and climbing sticks
Initial review after unboxing, assembling, and setting up in a tree. This is my very first hanging tree stand I have ever owned or set up. Assembly was very easy and quick. Took about 20 minutes to put the sticks and stand together. Was able to strap the stand to my back and it so light weight that I could even tell it was there. As I walked, it would clank a little if I bounced too much in my step. So try to walk light if you put it on your back. The sticks are little cumbersome to carry, but light weight as well. Attaching the climbers and stands to the tree was fairly easy and I was very surprised at how snuggly the climbers attached to the tree. Felt better than a ladder. Plenty of room on each step for my boot and once set did not budge as I climbed up. My only grip about the climbing sticks is how you secure the strap. The straps that came with mine had pass through loop links that attach to the strap support. They can be a bit squirrelly getting open and slipped over the strap support. But once you get it attached and the stick set, it's very secure. I had a lot of excess strap left over. I just wrapped it around tree a few times. The stand was super easy to attach to the tree. I was able to hold it with one hand, wrap and set the strap with the other (while leaning back on my lineman's belt) and secure it in less than 5 minutes of getting up the climbing sticks. I'm bout 14' off the ground and feel very secure against the tree. It took me about 10 minutes to get the climbing sticks and stand fully set up and ready for use. All in all, it took me, someone that has never set up or used a system like this, 30 minutes to set up from unboxing to ready to use in the tree. I'm looking forward to getting out there early in the morning and seeing if I can finally get the elusive 10pt that keeps busting me in my ground blind. EDIT: After spending 12hrs sitting in the stand yesterday, the 5 Star review stands. Very comfortable, secure, and quiet. Alas, no deer. :( ... show more

  • Beginner Hunter Thumbs Up
Style: 3-Pack
So far, these have been really great climbing sticks. The inserts that hold them together are really tight, and as it gets colder, I could see how there is a possibility of them cracking or breaking, but so far, I haven’t had any break on me. I’ve set them up and tore them down to move a few times now, and each time gets a little faster and more efficient. I really enjoy having steps on both sides, especially since I’m new to the process, and can have both feet and legs holding me up evenly, instead of having one doing more than the other with the single sided step models. Mine came as the versa button models, and the only thing I would say is that the straps are a bit difficult to get the section you want to open, opened when you’re wearing gloves. Mostly because the straps are just maybe a little too slick? That being said, it’s really the only thing about these sticks I’ve not been super excited about…but that’s something I’m getting more use to working around and really isn’t a big deal. All in all, I would buy these again, and I don’t really see a reason to go with any others. ... show more

  • They get you up the tree
Style: 3-Pack
I've been using the Hawk Helium 30" climbing sticks for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with their performance. The lightweight aluminum construction makes them easy to carry, which is a huge plus for anyone who hikes deep into the woods for a hunt. I appreciate how compact they fold up, allowing for easy transport and storage. The setup is straightforward, and the traction on the steps provides great stability as I climb. I feel secure when I’m up in my treestand, which is essential for any hunter. The 30" height is perfect for reaching those higher spots without being cumbersome. My only minor drawback is that I wish the straps were a bit more robust. While they work fine, I can’t help but feel that sturdier straps would add an extra layer of confidence during setup and takedown. Overall, these climbing sticks offer excellent value for the price. They’re lightweight, durable, and easy to use, making them a solid choice for anyone looking to elevate their hunting game. I highly recommend them! ... show more

  • Very light and quiet
Style: 3-Pack
I used to have 3-20 inch climbing sticks and with these 3-30inch I lost 4lbs off my back. There is no metal straps to clang together so extremely quiet. The suction cups are a great way to hold the together without the steps clanging together. Can't wait to see how they hold up throughout the season. I personally do not like the straps. Multiple trees the steps slid down. I haven't been that nervous since i started saddle hunting. Still love the steps just need better straps. Highly recommend 👌 ... show more

  • Great, but bad connection
Style: 3-Pack
These climbing sticks are great for getting high in a tree. However, they are suppose to fasten together for easy transportation. #1- They did fasten together right out of the box, but they were extremely hard to press in and take out. #2- By the second time of me pressing them together the rubber/plastic material sheared off and now none of them fasten together. The climbing portion of this tool is great! But the pack-ability of these sticks are not efficient. I’m not sure if these are old inventory and the material is no longer pliable, but that’s why I give this item 3 stars. ... show more
