Love this Mic so much. I teach a cardio fitness class at a large gym. The gym has high quality pricey sound systems, however too many times the mics are not working and I’ve been left loosing my voice yelling trying to give instruction during classes.     • Lotsa bang for the buck.
I was looking for a wireless headset microphone to use with my portable PA system for outdoor school events. Addressing a large group of chatty teenagers can be a challenge without amplification. For reference, I'm running this mic through a Fender Passport PD-250 PA system. First impressions are very positive. I've purchased low-cost wireless microphones in the past and it's almost always a "you get what you pay for" situation. With this set-up, you get much more than what you paid for. The wire headband fits pretty snug and feels like it's at no risk of moving around or falling off my bigger than average head. I haven't had a chance to use it through a full battery cycle yet, so I won't comment on battery life. The signal from the mic is slightly less than that of a wired microphone, but not so much of a difference as to make me want to knock a star off the rating here. With the mic 2mm from my mouth per the instructions, it's more than adequate. Your results may vary based on the system you're running it through. Also, I like having the gain control option on the mic transmitter. Because they're so cheap. I will probably be buying a second set so that I can switch to a fresh unit while the other charges. I have purchased several different low cost (<$50) wireless mics over the past few months for video recording and public events, and I have been disappointed in two cases with the lack of range (10 to 20ft) and short battery life. I passed on buying this product at first because it was cheaper than the other products. Big mistake, this is cheaper and much better, good range, better than 50ft, it is being used for exercise classes and outdoor events with a PA system. It has rechargeable batteries, that last a couple of hours. In addition it has two great features, no belt pack and cable, and it has volume control buttons on the headset. I bought this to replace a PA system I was using as assistive technology for a hard of hearing student. They removed the other system with 2 weeks left in the school year. I connected this to the soundbar I use with my projector. It has worked flawlessly with the same clarity as the much more expensive system I was provided. I only wish the battery lasted longer or had a charging dock but at this price, that is unrealistic to expect. I look forward to using this in the upcoming school year and have already recommended it to other teachers who are looking to use a similar setup in their classroom.     • holy wow, how could it be better than a samson 77?
So I manage a large health club and there are not many options as far as wireless fitness mics go, Samson and Sure are about it. I currently have all Samson units, about 10 and all my trainers have problems with them, they are awful, especially new that they went to k-band, there is tons of distortion, static and mic cut out all the time. I have to send them in for repair all the time. I bought one of these as a last resort if my trainers cant get the Samsons to work and was amazed by the quality! They work twice as well as far as quality, with a tiny receiver and transmitter. I am not sure if it will live up to the abuse of a fitness environment but if it lasts a month ill keep buying them!
