It's very very cute! The instructions are good for those who can read lol not my husband. He used wrong screws and had to redo. Once I was the one handling the instructions, everything was put together correctly. We had to put the rail guard in the top since our matress is 12 inches and recommend mattress for top bed is not more than 6 inches. But we ordered 6 inch mattress and will put it on the top and 12 inch in the bottom. It creaks when my son (50 lbs) is moving on the top and it shakes when he climbs up. I hope it will last for awhile! Very cute! The house is spacious too play and sleep. I slept myself there and it was comfortable! Recommend it! ... show more

We absolutely love this bed! I have a 6 y/o on top and a 10 month old on the bottom with a safety guard. We did temporarily put in a board behind the ladder so our baby wouldn’t get caught in it. The book shelf is such a cute feature but when my older son climbs or moves around he says the books fall out. So, we just pick them up. You could put a light stuffed animal there for show. The drawers on the bottom are useful but not on any tracks. We made any extra accommodations we needed as my husband is very handy. All in all it’s a great buy and beautiful piece. This bed arrived in 3 large and heavy boxes, sorry UPS. Almost all of the the parts were labeled clearly, some were printed on badly but overall you can tell which piece is which. I started assembly around 12pm, finished around 11pm. Husband was as work and I just couldn't wait so did it alone. Two adults without 2 kids and 1 baby as distractions could probably do it in about 2 hours or less. These are the only issues I had: 1. There are not many written instructions so many steps require a little guesswork. One example, the boards to hold the mattresses are labeled the same for the top, bottom and trundle so you have figure out how many to use for each level yourself. 2. The lines for the side drawer panels did not line up properly with the drawer face which made sliding the bottom drawer panel in very difficult. 3. Some of the illustrations were too vague so I had to redo some parts when I realized the holes were not aligned properly as they did not show them clearly in the picture. 4. The screws for the 1 of drawer handles could not go all the way through the hole because it was too shallow. I ended up using one from my own stash. 5. Again some of the pictures are not very clear about which way some pieces are suppose to face. So take your time and look ahead a few steps to avoid having to redo any assembling. Overall this was a perfect bed for the space I have. My daughter's love it and it seems sturdy enough. Greet bunk for the price. It was just what we were looking for. Daughter is starting school and this allows us to have a dedicated work space while maximizing space in the room. Pretty easy to assemble, it took about 3 hours in total by myself, this included disassembly of her old bed. Only reason for 4 stars was a couple of the mirrored pieces were incorrect and had to be modified to work. Nothing that could not be correct with a drill and some bits. This was extremely frustrating to build. The instructions to build did not match the photo on Amazon. I specifically bought this because the ladder was on the right side, and the instructions only show how to build the ladder on the left side, so it took way longer to build than it should have. Multiple pieces came in damaged, but it’s way too large to deal with a return. Sucks! ... show more
