Not only was this pretty easy (although tedious) to build, it looks great and my cats started enjoying it even before it was complete! I specifically got this for my black cat, Burnt Toast, as he is half Maine coon! The old cat tree we have, as seen in one of the photos, is not as wide as this new one yet when I got it, it had advertised itself as being good with big cats. Obviously, it was not true. Toasty would rarely go up there because to him it's very steep. It also could barely handle his weight and would wobble. This new cat tree is completely sturdy. There's no wobbling, it's easy to slide on the floor because the bottom has carpeted edges, and the steps are wide enough that he can climb as well as lay comfortably. My smaller cat seems to enjoy the little condo bits the most but Toasty definitely could fit easily into the bottom one if he wanted to. I think my only complaint would be that there is a spot where a screw sticks out, but it's not a big enough deal for me to take off a star. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and the cats are too!

*Update January 2022* Guys, this thing is still standing. The cats use it daily and while it’s definitely not as pretty as it used to be, it’s survived a few moves and two 10-12lb cats for over 3 years. The rope has started to come off on some of the poles but with a little effort, it could easily be repaired or replaced. Overall I’m beyond impressed with this and will definitely look at their products again when this one is eventually done for. Honestly I was a little skeptical when I decided to order this because there was only one other review at the time. We decided to give it a try because we really liked the size and the different features that it offers and I’m so happy that we did. Our kittens are still getting used to it but they’re using it more and more each day. I wanted a big cat tree and I read the measurements when we ordered this, but it seems a lot larger standing in front of you than you’d expect. I’d definitely recommend assembling it in the room you’re going to keep it because it was a pain to move through the doorways. It was easy to assemble though and I feel like it’s very sturdy and well made. I also liked that it has a strap to anchor it to the wall if you want, however we didn’t feel that was necessary with as small as our kittens are right now and with the tree in the corner of the room. This is the first cat tree we’ve owned so I cant compare it to any other brands, but I’m satisfied with it. The carpet material doesn’t shed as much as I had feared it would, and I’ve only actually noticed little bits of fuzz right after we put it together. There hasn’t been any transferred around the room so that’s a plus. Another feature that the kittens love is the little balls hanging from the platform beds. They have an elastic cord so the kittens can pull on it and it stretches and slingshots back, which they go crazy for. Each ball also has a bell on it so the kittens have been having a blast with them. I was happy to see that the balls are just tied around a little loop and that they can be easily removed or replaced should they get damaged or just become too annoying to tolerate. The only thing that I wish was different is that I wish the sisal covered more of the posts. One of our kittens loves to scratch and stretch but the sisal doesn’t go up high enough on any of the posts for her to get a good stretch out of it. She still enjoys it though so maybe that’ll just keep her from destroying the tree too soon. Overall, this thing is great. If you’re looking for an affordable large cat tree, this is a good choice.

The media could not be loaded. This has to be the BEST stand or anything I've bought for any of my cats, past and present. Their birthdays are a week apart, so I bought this for them as a present (don't laugh, you know we all do it!). They have one that is about 25 years old and belonged to two other cats I had before. (It's one of those with only one pole and 5 levels -- the top level being the one they fight over.) This new one has so many levels and so many places for them to explore, they don't fight over space. Well, occasionally Gabe, the black one, will try to annoy Hildie, the long-haired, so she gets out of spots he wants, but that's to be expected with two spoiled cats. One thing that worried and still kind of worries me are the bolts underneath the levels (photo with Gabe yawning). I'm going to wrap them in something as soon as possible. As you can see in that same photo, there is a strap at the back to bolt into a wall for added stability. Since this is in front of a window, I couldn't use it. However, the base is wide enough to give it the stability it needs when they play and jump up/down The three beds at the top are well cushioned. The smaller square house at the top has what feels like fleece blanket sides. It's really nice but Gabe went to work at ripping a hole at the bottom so he can reach his paw out to grab Hildie (and me!). He's destructive, though, so it was to be expected. I just wanted to make others aware that the sides of that house are not solid wood, they are blanket-like material. That isn't a bad thing, in my opinion, because my cats like pushing themselves against it like it's comfortable conforming to them. Assembly: It's a nightmare if you're doing it alone! I don't regret the assembly, though, because every part of it is screwed in tightly and fits well so that it's safe and secure. It's just a royal pain to put together if you don't have help. I read one review where the person said the screws of the posts won't go in. I had this issue on three of them, but I worked on the other side first. For some reason, when I went back to the side that was an issue, they worked. Still a PITA, though, to be honest. I would prefer it to be a struggle and safe than easy and fall apart. I would HIGHLY recommend this stand! The price is absolutely worth it! It's huge, it's beautiful, and it's very entertaining (for the cats and watching them).
