I finally decided to take the plunge and buy this highly recommended nail drill/nail grinder kit to avoid specialist copays seeing the podiatrist and having him do what this tool could do. I had past trauma to my left big toenail that necessitated the removal of the toenail a few years ago. The nail grew back, but not to its former usual length or height. After reaching a certain length that is shorter than it used to be, the rest of the nail growth domed upwards instead of towards the front of the toe. I felt like I had a little burgeoning button on that toe (especially when COVID hit and I couldn't see the podiatrist at all). The podiatrist can only grind down so much during several 30-minute visits. Additionally, the nail doesn't look too good with nail polish, as the nail polish emphasizes the dome shape of the nail. I couldn't have made a better choice with this Beurer, and I'm wondering why I never bought it sooner!! It already paid for itself in just 2 uses! One charge on this Beurer lasted hours--or 3 complete uses separated by 3 months in between, using 2 different callous grinders, 3 different nail grinders/polishers, and the ingrown nail remover. The kit comes with a detailed user manual that includes descriptions of each tool, what they're used for, and cautionary notes that should be heeded. The different polishing and grinding tools are just soooo good at their job that if you're not careful, you'll realize your nail is already flat or your callus is already gone and you're beginning to feel the heat from the friction of the callus remover. It has a nail shield that very conveniently makes sure all the fine nail debris goes downwards instead of up to your nose and everywhere else. There are 2 settings for clockwise or counter clockwise rotation and a plus & minus button that can increase or decrease the rev speed. I usually make it go to the max speed when starting, then gradually slow down the revs as the nail or callus gets thinner. My big toenail is now evenly flat as the rest of my toenails, and it looks better with nail polish. Besides my big toe, I have used the white callus remover tool to remove a callus on the middle ball of each foot. Using the fine tool for ingrown nails was a breeze: just make sure you don't press down too hard and you are watching the tool as it slowly cuts so you don't cut right into your skin. You will see the break in the nail where the tool has cut; I then use the little pointy tool from a regular nail cutter to gently lift off the ingrown portion. Absolutely love this product, and I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to keep their nails looking good and appearing healthy all the time! ... show more

update- Had this for a year and it still works great. I was a little worried about replacement accessories but they seem to be available now so I guess it was a pandemic supply issue thing.I use it pretty often and although I've used a few of the coarse drums for rough shaping and callous removal I have plenty left. The other accessories have held up fine and I don't think I'll need to replace them anytime soon. I'm very happy with the quality. I'm pretty satisfied so far with the performance of this nail drill and it does all I want it to do. I've been using it to trim both my toenails and fingernails and it's done an especially great job cleaning up my problem toenails which as I've gotten older have thickened substantialy. It has all the power needed to thin excess nail material to the point they look pretty good.The switch is a little tricky as it is a rotating collar and is a little difficult to move but once I got used to it I had no problem.The led light is very helpfull. Replacement bits are an issue at this time as after checking the company website it appears they are consistently sold out, and the ones available on Amazon don't fit my MP62 model. I am hoping this is a temporary supply chain issue as the bits appear to be nonstandard bits made for the Beurer brand.Also they appear to be available only as a full set, and the set is fairly expensive, almost 2/3 the price of the complete unit.The sanding drums are generic I think but the ones that come with the Beurer are very good quality although you only get ten and their all the same grit. That being said I don't think I'll be needing bit replacements for a while as they seem to be very durable.Once inserted they stay in very securely and I'm wondering if the bits for this unit were redesigned to address complaints by others of bits falling out during use.I bought the 24 piece unit which includes the MP62 drill and the bits for this unit seem to be different than other Beurer drills.Some reviewers have complained about their drills being underpowered but I don't find mine to be at all and I was certainly not looking for anything like a Dremmel tool as I think something along those lines would be alittle dangerous.It can remove material at a pretty substantial rate and you will see dust flying. The variable speed is great and gives you a little more power if you need to remove thick material and a little finesse for finishing up. The Beurer is just right for me(I bought it to do just basic hygenic nail management).The real test is durablity but if I got even a couple years of use I'd feel satisfied.I took a star off because the company needs to do a little better in terms of attachment availability which obviuosly is important with a device that uses consumables like this one.It comes with a nice case,feels good in your hand,and the build quality in my opinion is very good. ... show more

Having bunions on both feet has contributed to some super think toenails in both big toes and both little toes. This product works great for grinding these toenails and smoothing them out. It was simple to pull out of the package, plug in and get started. And I LOVE the fact that it lights up so that you can seeing exactly what you’re doing! And a bonus for me are all the others ways I can use this device….like filing fingernails and removing dry skin and calluses. I highly recommend. ... show more

Works beautifully. I am a trained professional and used to using these tools. I would suggest that if you have never used this type of tool before proceed with caution as the directions tell you to do. The beurer brand is made very well. This drill has plenty of power for anything you need to do with callouses, warts, nails etcetera. Excellent price for such quality. I've spent much more for something similar.
