Once arrived I could not wait to use the heat transfer vinyl with this new machine. Way better than using an iron. Packing is great . No problems with packaging. The machine is built well. All the welds look great. Not spotty. Now operation was a little confusing for my but turned out to be pretty simple. You set the temp put it down and wait for it to need. DONE. That simple. I did a quick print with it to see the quality . Came out great! I’m glad I got this. My sister and I do prints so this will be great.

The media could not be loaded. I've had this heat press for about 2 weeks now and it's been great! It heats up quickly, has a great platen size for pressing shirts & other products, the pressure is easy to adjust and it's helped me create 100s of products already. Works great for sublimation or heat transfers. It's my second BetterSub heat press (I also have the 5-in-1 combo press which I love). I'd definitely recommend this product.

Im not sure why this press has such great reviews. Its incredible hard to pull down/lift up for the amount of pressure you need to press evenly. Even then, I had a really hard time getting the adjustments &temperatures right and ruined several blanks because of it. I used transfers from both Supacolor and Jiffy - both customer services told me i had heat press issues, not blank transfer issues. Oftentimes id have to press a few more seconds so the transfer would actually work - this resulted in a large square left on the fabric the size of the press that would not wash out. Almost like it burned it. Its too costly to have to experiment with different temps and see what works with certain blanks such as comfort colors, gildan, etc. I'd suggest spending the money on a nicer one - one that isnt manual.

I have pressed professionally with a pneumatic press for years. When I decided to buy one for my workshop at home, I wanted something similar, but didn’t want to pay the price and I was worried about the reviews on the swing away automatic presses as well. So I decided to go for a basic & solid work-horse. Clamshells are not my favorite, but I figured I’d adapt. No problem! About 3 weeks in and it’s easy to program temp and time, and has firm pressure without me having to adjust it. It does a great job! I added a teflon cover to the base and have Teflon sheets that I use (when needed) to protect the heated portion of the press. I’ve been pressing tackle twill and it works great! I did secure it to the cart I have it on in 2 places so that it would allow me to open it without lifting the press off the cart. Just like my press at work, the longer I use it the easier it seems to open and close. If you’re looking for a great sturdy practical press without bells and whistles, I highly recommend this press by Better Sub.

My Wife and I use this heat press on a daily basis as a small business. We've had this heat press for several months now. No complaints so far. Definitely a 10 out of 10 recommend. The temperature is adjustable and is true to the temperature. The padding has not degraded at all. No issues with the paint peeling or flaking off. Perfect for a small business or hobby. Lastly, the overall cosmetic appearance still looks like it's brand new after hundreds of presses everyday. Hope this info helps someone.

This is exactly what I ordered and it has worked very well for my sublimation tasks. I've done several items and was very impressed with the ease of use and consistency of the temperature. The one thing I wish it had was or markings indicating the pressure that is set. When I go from thinner items to thicker items and vice-versa I have to guess what pressure I used for the item last time I pressed it. That is more of an enhancement rather than a criticism of the product's advertised function It definitely performs as advertised.

**updated review** I emailed customer service & besides the 12hr time difference they were AMAZING!! They tried to help me solve the issue, but nothing worked so they are sending me a new unit!! I can’t wait to use it!! I just received this press & when I pulled it out of the box I was in love!! It’s very simple!! Well I cut the zip tie that was holding the handle down & it did not spring up, boy oh boy was I disappointed. I’ve emailed the manufacturer/seller of this product, but of course like most anything we purchase nowadays they are in China. So I will wait to continue this review until I hear back from them.
