I really don't recommend this product, the magnet is too weak the level is slidding down on the metal contruction. Terrible. The seller should not claim it as a magnetic. Such a crap.

I have several four-foot levels, both standard and electronic along with several nine-inch torpedo levels and one 2-foot level that I inherited from my father which is the one that I usually grabbed first while framing or for many other tasks. When the vials finally came unseated and started to leak after what must have been at least 60 years, it was time to search for a replacement. What I really wanted was something a bit larger than the nine-inch levels that would still fit in my portable tool chest. A 2-foot level would be just a little too large where this fits perfectly. The level is very well constructed and the built in magnets allow me to work with metal studs hands-free. The vials are larger than most levels which allow my older eyes to read them with ease. The best part is that I never expected a tool at this price point to be so well constructed and accurate. A true bargain.

I used this while installing metal fence posts. It is a nice medium length at 16”. There are measurements marked on one side so you can use it to measure distance in a pinch. I wish the magnet was a little stronger. It kept sliding down on the posts. It seems accurate when compared with another smaller level we have.

Things I like about this level: -Perfect size! Love that it's between the 9" and 24". -Seems durable, and well made. Things I'm not a fan of: -Being smooth and solid, it's tricky to use with gloves, unlike the kind that have gaps or openings. -The bubbles being encased in a clear square create a double image unless you look at 90 degree angle. Don't try to look at any of the bubbles at a 45 degree angle, you'll think you're drunk.

Overall the level is decent, I would say mid range construction, not real high end, but not cheap junk either. Love the idea of having the magnet inside the unit, but they only have one magnet dead center, so it's not the best. If they put magnets near the ends as well, it would be much better. All in all I'm happy with it and will add it to my arsenal.

Lightweight and easy to read. Clear concise instructions and well sealed level bubbles. Bright red so it is easy to find and the light weight design makes it easy to hold in place for leveling.
