  • Great little subwoofer
Great little sub for a bedroom or small space. Runs out of juice for rap music, but other types of music and movies it keeps up perfectly. I have mine in our primary bedroom with gain turned down to about 75%, and I still had to turn the reciever gain down to match the surround sound levels.

  • THUMPING BASS!!
The media could not be loaded. Unbelievable for the price. I’m giving it 5 stars despite it missing one of the footpads on arrival. I’ve written the manufacturer. I would replace it with Amazon but I don’t want to be a day without it or hassle with the shipment if I can avoid it. Note that this speaker has an LFE input which the Rockshaker does not. Even the low end Polk doesn’t have that input and it’s precisely what you need for a modern surround sound. If you drive subs off RCA jacks they won’t mute! Don’t make that mistake. LFE is what you need. You can actually feel this thing. So small! Looks nice. Fires down. If you’re looking for a bargain sub this is it. Can you really tell the difference between this and an $350 Polk or Klipsch? Note mine does not seem to have the problem some had with it automatically powering down. The manufacturer indicates this is an updated version that solves the problem. Don’t hesitate. Seen here playing Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin on my turntable! 🔥 🔥 🔥 ... show more

  • Great Little Desktop PC & Gamer Sub
This is a great subwoofer so long as it is used properly and for the right purpose. This is NOT a sub you use for a home theatre or home recording studio setup. This is a little sub you stick under your desk and pair with PC speakers or something like this Creative Stage soundbar https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JC6YZ4K/, a sleek bit of mini-soundbar in elegant gloss black that looks like a million bucks on your desk. The problem with most PC soundbars or speaker systems (even nosebleed expensive ones like Katana) is they give you a crappy subwoofer, typically a shallow, hollow cabinet and cheap driver. That’s where this thing shines. Yes, the driver is only six inches, so don’t expect room-shaking performance, but this is a heavy box relative to its size, and the wei8ghty cabinet helps it punch, ahem, above its weight. Suggest you begin with top volume knob set to 12 o’clock and bottom frequency knob set somewhere between 9 and 10 o’clock, then slowly adjust to suit your taste. If you turn this thing all the way up and rotate the freq knob all the way to the right, the sub will sound like garbage. Take your time and try a bunch of different settings and you will find your sweet spot. You can mate this to any existing system, even a closed one, by using a splitter Y-cable like this UGREEN https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LM0ZGK6/?th=1, plugging your existing soundbar or speakers into one of the two cable inputs. The Creative soundbar, specially, should NOT be plugged into the subwoofer’s thru port because the Creative soundbar has its own proprietary sound card tech built into it and it sounds amazing. If you plug it into the sub instead of your PC, the sub’s crossover will filter out the low end and the soundbar won’t sound as good. Used with the Creative soundbar (sub-$100 pricing), I have a desktop PC sound system that thumps harder and sounds on par with if not better than many premium systems. Minus one star for no auto shut-off, but for the price, why quibble. I use a smart plug and Alexa routine to shut it off if I forget. ... show more

  • Great Sub woofer Powerful for its size
I have a home theatre with one sub in the front. I was not getting the amount of LEF I desired. Especially when playing the movies with a Sensurround Audio track. So I purchased this sub to put in the back of the room to work with the sub in the front. Wow, what a difference. And this sub is only turned up half way. The addition of this sub filled my home theatre with great bass (LEF). Even feel the vibration in our recliner seats. Now those Sensurround movies (Earthquake, Midway 1975 and Rollarcoaster) sound the way they should. Just like in their original theatrical runs. I highly recommend this product to anyone who desires great bass sound. A lot of power from a little box. And a great price too. ... show more

  • Works great, when it doesn't auto shut off
After getting the unit plugged in, and started listening to my music, I was pleasantly surprised with the audio quality. I did notice they mention Polk audio in the instruction manual, so that may be why. However, after minutes of listening, the unit just shuts off. Seems like they need to do more testing with their sensor that checks for signal coming through. First I was using the AUX input, when it started just shutting off, I switched to the RCA inputs. Still it keeps shutting off, so back it goes. Sad, I did like the design and audio quality of the unit. ... show more

  • Deceiving by the size and small price!!
I, really, was not expecting something like this subwoofer! When I saw it, I said: it is only one hundred bucks what the heck. I was using a Bose solo speaker for years it was just ok, but when I added the sub, Man I was very impressed with the change it made. A world of difference. At first, for some reason, I was under the impression it was at least a 8 in sub, but when I went back to check the specs, I realized it was just a 6.5 in. This blew my mind. ... show more

  • Not for studio speakers and interface
Bass is good but it shouldn’t be advertised as a studio subwoofer. When I run the wires from interface to subwoofer. Subwoofer to studio speakers. It doesn’t work.

  • Budget subwoofer that gets the job done
I bought this to replace a Yamaha subwoofer that went out. This one is much smaller and compact, and it's a budget subwoofer, but it gets the job done. I have this in my basement and it provides the base effects I want for my mid-level home theater system.
