I rarely write reviews. My old sound bar crapped out, got a few years out of it, and looking back it’s sound was nowhere remotely as high quality as this sound bar. I again decided I wasn’t going to spend for the supposedly higher end speaker brands. Looked and looked on Amazon, and was drawn to this one because it said he had a significant bass boost option, and also it is 100 watts. I’m REALLY happy with it. The bass boost gives it a very full sound in the room. I also love that the remote has 3 one touch buttons to change sound between Movie, Music and Dialog. It took me 10 minutes to swap it out. Worked like a charm. Sound is exceptional! If you’re looking and looking and getting more and more confused by all of these reasonably cost sound bars, most made in China, DON’T HESITATE TO BUY THIS ONE. ... show more

I bought this because my mom has trouble hearing voices through the regular tv sound. This bar definitely makes the sound/voices more clear and easy to hear. It was fairly easy to set up, although there were no instructions with it, I am technology challenged, and I managed to get it set up. I do have to use 3 remotes when I first turn it on. I turn on my tv with my Dish remote, it asks if I want to connect to the sound bar, which I have to use my tv remote (not the Dish or bar remote) to say yes. I have to turn the bar power on with the bar remote. Once it is on and connected with the tv I can use the Dish remote to change the volume just like normal. Still need the bar remote to turn it off. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase. The bar was pretty inexpensive compared to a lot of them. It is a bit bigger than I thought it would be, and sits just above the tv, but it's barely noticeable. ... show more

Snagged this item while it was on sale. Got a 80w, 34" one first and placed it in a smaller (carpeted) loft space as a supplement to the Televisions built in speakers. It was decent sounding and triggered us to buy a second while they were still on sale. Purchased the exact same item in 100w, 40" for the living room and I am a little bit LESS impressed with the item, probably because it is a much larger open concept room (living, dining & Kitchen) and the space could use a better quality system than this one. For around $80 though it is definitely an upgrade from the TV's built in speakers while we save to upgrade to one of those Big name versions in the near future. CONS: The built in blinking (indicator) light is tough to see unless you are directly in front of the speaker as it seems to be hidden beneath the speaker fabric. The light does not blink, or there is no indicator rather, when tapping the remote to indicate it is sensing you pushing the volume buttons & since they are slow to adjust the volume it take a few clicks before you can really hear a change in the volume - if I could change one thing it would be that. PROS: We had little to no difficulty connecting via Blue tooth to our (I)phone for music or using the fiber-optic(?) cable included to connect to the televisions (our tv bracket gave us more of a headache because it was blocking a port we needed). Again, we cause this item on sale so $65 for the smaller one & $80 for the bigger was a DEAL. Overall for the price this speaker amplifies the sound volume, but if you are looking for high quality movie theater style, seat shaking bass this likely will fall flat for you. but if you want to increase the volume with decent sound quality then I think you have found something worth the price. ... show more

I bought this to replace an old Polk Audio (2011, 40W) soundbar since it started to come on at FULL BLAST, and the connection was limited to optical input. Once I cut the cord for Roku, the bar would not work for other devices, forcing me to use my LG OLED internal speakers to play dvds. Never did figure out why that was the case, but happy to have upgraded the system. The 12 year bar will be fine for the original LG tv it was purchased for in my bedroom. Or not. Having purchased Bestisan stereo speakers earlier this year, I felt confident with the brand, and thus far, no disappointments. Set up was not quite as intuitive as hoped, but this was due I am sure to old settings to accomodate the old bar. I love figuring out this stuff though, so the "fun" lasted a little longer!! :-) After some trial and error, I was able to get my LG remote to control sound, and then, got my Roku remote to talk to the bar. The fewer the remotes, the better. I will forfeit the music/movie/dialogue options, but of little use to me anyway. I can't say that serious audiophiles will be impressed, but at $85 and 30% off coupon, I would recommend this for those needing a good soundbar, particularly since it offers a wide variety of connection options--not all bars do. Note that you will need to buy your own HDMI cable, otherwise, the box comes with everything you'll need including batteries for the remote to get up and hearing. ... show more

I bought this during a lightning deal, came out to 64 bucks shipped(cali tax included). For the price I paid, I'm happy with it. The sound is decent for a sound bar, it's what you should expect from a lower end sound bar. Has ok bass and treble, which can be adjusted via the remote. The sound is much better than my TV speakers. Having Bluetooth is nice for listening to music. I would not be happy with it if I paid msrp $79 plus tax. At that price point, I would rather spend a bit extra and buy a Samsung sound bar. This works perfect for my needs for my bedroom. Would I recommend it for a living room? NO! Living room setups work much better with a dedicated floor sub and quality speakers. For living room setups, just spend the extra $$$ and get a good sound bar w/ sub or go to your local good will and buy a 5.1 receiver and speakers/sub for under $70(recommended). You'll be much happier. ... show more
