We really like our new Murphy bed. Once installed it was very sturdy and easy to use. At first, I wondered why it had the little doors on the side but once I folded our bed up while made with blankets it was obvious they were made to allow you to push the blankets out of site and close the little side doors. I only have one issue with the bed frame; the support at the that folds out at the foot of the bed, it sticks out too far past the mattress and I stub my toe on it every time I walk by. I created an easy fix by installing a pool noodle around each of the feet to prevent injury. A better design would have left the supports beneath the bed. Since we only seldom have the bed down its not much of an issue for us, however it is something to keep in mind if you plan to use it for an elderly person. Although it seems to be good quality - it is a pressed board material. Not all the hardware was there so we are ordering it from the manufacturer.
