We got this 4-inch foam topper to use on our pull-out sofa bed. It turns out that 4-inches is a lot of inches for a foam topper. It does the job, however, and our thin sofa mattress is much easier to sleep on. When you lay on it, you kind of just sink right into it. It is very comfortable, very thick, and I think a good value for the cost. It is very easy cut if it scratches up against metal, but I won't take off a star for that because that's just the characteristics of foam. It also came wrapped up very well (in a deceivingly small package). It is a little hard to deal with once at its full size because it is so huge, so I wouldn't recommend it if you need to be moving it on and off the bed a lot. ... show more

This egg crate mattress topper made a huge difference in how comfortable our bed feels. It added just the right amount of softness without feeling like you’re sinking, and the memory foam really does a great job of relieving pressure. I noticed it especially in my shoulders and hips—no more waking up sore. The lavender scent is subtle but so calming. It’s not overpowering at all, but you get a gentle whiff when you lay down that actually makes bedtime feel more relaxing. One of my favorite parts is how it helps with motion transfer—my partner can toss and turn and I barely feel it. We’ve both been sleeping better since we added this to our mattress. It also doesn’t trap heat the way some foam does. The egg crate design seems to help with airflow, which is great for warm nights. The 4 inches total makes the dorm mattress feel premium and he said it’s more comfortable than home, We did not have time to let it fluff up before making the bed but that did not seem to matter. There was a slight smell but not worth mentioning, when we came back in the room after being away there was no smell. I just got this topper in today and put it on my bed and it’s and absolutely amazing! I was skeptical for it for a few months so I left it in my cart and would go back and look at it until I finally said “what the hell” and bought it. And let me tell you it’s the best purchase I’ve ever made. I’ve been having trouble with back and leg pain and the mattress I have is so hard the small thin foam that was on it wasn’t working at all and the pain was unbearable so I decided to get this one. The smell is amazing not too strong not “out there” it’s subtle but still there Yk? It’s super super soft and thick. It’s amazing and I love it I’m sure my boyfriend will as well. I haven’t slept on it just yet but I’m nearly positive it’s going to be the best sleep of my life! 10/10!!! Okay so… here’s the thing. It traps heat and reflects it back to you like you’re laying on the sun. I feel like it’ll be good for the winter but not for the middle of summer at 95+ degrees out. The first night was restless. I had stiffness in my back sides and neck making me only get about two hours of sleep. The second night was a little bit better I slept most of the night only waking up once to turn. Don’t expect immediate results you will be disappointed if you do. Allow it to get broken into. Another thing I noticed it’s perfect in the center when you’re laying on it alone but if you sleep with your spouse/partner like I do sleeping on the side isn’t as comfy and your body sorts of tries to drift to the center. But over all it’s amazing still just too hot and not as comfortable as imagined on the first night. EDIT:: I got this roughly three months ago and this comfort itself is good but the foam is cracking, flat, there’s discoloration from where me and my boyfriend sleep, the sent that was there is gone and it’s starting to be uncomfortable because of the breakage and flatness it now has. Another thing we’re now well into fall going into winter and the warmth we once felt is like magic and disappeared the foam is trapping in the coolness from around and freezing us lol. Overall it’s still pretty decent it just has its wears like normal daily use items have. Edit:: If it gets too “flat” flip it over so the smooth side is what you’re laying on and you won’t regret it super comfortable. Also we’ve had this for seven months now and it’s done torn so many tears on my boyfriends side but it’s still usable as a chunk hasn’t came out yet. ... show more

My son had a long hospital stay and I planned on sleeping in his room. So glad I bought this because the couch I was going to sleep on was not the most comfortable, and this mattress topper helped me sleep so much better. If you've ever slept in a hospital you know it's the complete opposite of home. Nurses are coming in at all hours, hallway lights are on and the windows don't block out the light, and the noise of all the machines and doors don't let you sleep through the night. Being comfortable with this topper made my sleep so much better. It came vacuum packed in a box which definitely cannot be used to pack up when we go home. But luckily the topper will fold up and I can wrap it with packing tape. There was no chemical smell when I opened it. In just a few minutes of it laying flat, the topper expanded to full size. I am extremely pleased with this item. It's at a great price and after I'm done with it in the hospital, I'll end up adding it to my child's bed at home. ... show more
