Okay, I bought this sponge because I could feel the springs on my mattress and I was starting to have body aches and pains. My back hurt, my sides hurt and it just was awful. So I bought this mattress hoping to alleviate my body aches because I did not want to buy a new mattress. And I'm happy to say its been helpful. I have been using it for about 2 months now and it's nice to lay in bed without feeling those springs. At first I was thrown off about sinking in the memory foam but I got used to it after a while and now I love laying in my bed. It's comfortable and I don't have body aches from sleeping anymore. I'm a side sleeper so, I don't mind sinking in the sponge but you're gonna need a decent side pillow to sleep comfortably. Now the annoying thing about this sponge is it keeps slipping and sliding so you will have to constantly readjust it on the mattress. And I've seen from another review when I bought it a sheet wouldn't fit over the sponge & mattress but, it's fine I just put my sheet over the sponge and yeah. We got the 4” mattress topper for our sofa sleeper. The included mattress is inadequate in shielding the person from the springs. With this on top, there’s no sign of the springs! It is super comfortable! I wish this came with a waterproof cover, as it is difficult to find one that encases its short queen size perfectly while being waterproof. Speaking of size, the short queen fits close enough for us. It is a little narrow and a little long for our sofa bed. I understand these mattress toppers come vacuum packed. I have purchased three previous so I was familiar with how it would arrive. While I expected it to be thinner than it’s advertised inch and a half, I did not expect it to be smaller in width and length. Initially out of the package, I’m not sure if this would fit a queen. After three hours of patient waiting, it completely expanded to its described length, width and thickness. I am using this on a brand new mattress. The mattress itself is comfortable but does not contain any memory foam. I do not like so much memory foam that I feel like I am being swallowed by the mattress. If it is too thick, I can’t even roll over without struggling to free its grasp. This thickness is exactly what I was looking for. It is thick enough to have the memory foam feel but not so thick that you feel swallowed up by it. I put this under a thin mattress pad. My sheets still fit and I feel like the mattress pad protects the topper. I am very happy with this product and I recommend it ... show more
