First the good: it was vacuum packed which made set up quite easy. There was no odor at all. It took about 15 minutes to totally open up to the full 1 1/2". It fit our queen size bed perfectly. I love how soft it made our bed. I didn't overheat which was a huge concern of mine. I chose the 1 1/2" rather than the 2" to make sure our deep pocket fitted sheet would stay on the bed. Now the bad: I honestly can't think of one bad thing. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a softer bed or if a spring broke in the box springs. ... show more

Purchased as toppers for a cabin with very firm mattresses. I am a bit picky on where I sleep, and was hoping this would make the beds bearable for the random weekends spent there. At home I have a mattress topper at 4x this price, so I wasn't expecting too much for the price. But I was super satisfied with these. For the first time I was able to sleep through the night as well as wake up without my whole body aching!!! Will be purchasing more!! In the past I have tried some with the eggshell design (not through this company) which I hated, as well as other mattress toppers that seemed to retain too much heat. These did not.     • Improved decades old mattress, but with some cons.

Bought this as a (much) cheaper alternative to replacing my current 30+ year old mattress (don't judge - I'm a broke college student and the mattress was free). It's definitely quality in regards to the memory foam, but the cooling aspect is questionable. Bought it just before a heat wave in my area and I feel like the foam hugging my body made me feel even more uncomfortably hot. Also, if buying this for a twin mattress, I highly recommend using Twin XL fitted sheets - the height of the foam pad makes that extra length necessary for sheets to stay on (or use sheet clips - they're great for this situation) In regards to the comfort, it appears that my long, lanky and bony body only has 2 or 3 pressure points, which makes sleeping on my back with this mattress pad rather uncomfortable - my butt and shoulders sink in to the bottom, and my head and legs barely make an indent. Side sleeping is amazing though - all the right support in all the right places (with some adjustment for my legs at least). In summation: "Cooling" is a questionable claim, certain sleeping positions are definitely more comfortable, quality material for memory foam, 3 inches may be a bit too much for tiny and/or bony people, and longer fitted sheets may be necessary. ... show more

Shipping took 5 days with Fedex ground, not a problem for us. It was super compressed and tightly rolled inside its box, and it took a while longer to inflate than we expected. It did reach the advertised 1.5 inches depth. The smell was not overpowering and went away entirely after a couple of hours. Fits our queen bed exactly. The material has an elastic consistency when you push your hand into it or lay on top of it. It is kind of the inverse of a traditional memory foam feeling, which is hard at first, then soft over time - gel memory foam seems to be soft at first, then firmer over time. We wanted an ultra plush mattress topper that would soften the top of our green tea memory foam mattress. This is not ultra plush unfortunately, it is firmer than we hoped it would be but it certainly is not as firm as the mattress' top itself and is an improvement. We put our old pillowtop cover on top of this topper, now we are closer to the ultra plush feeling we wanted. Not the softest gel memory foam we've felt, but it's really comfortable and worth the bargain price if you don't mind. It does not get hot, but in our setup with the pillowtop cover it does not cool down. Since that wasn't our priority anyway, it's been fine for us and we will keep it. ... show more

I have any number of toppers from the cheapest to the most expensive and find this one to be right up there with the best. It does not seem to trap heat like some do, offers a firm initial feeling and then the hips, shoulders and elbows sink into a comfortable space without any pressure if you are a side sleeper lie I am. Totally reduced the number of times I turn over at night trying to ease pressure points! I was surprised given the price point. I will be getting another one for the guest bed! There is a slight smell where first opened but not noxious, I simply hit it with my fabric freshener and was good to go. It fit on top of the mattress (queen) exactly. ... show more

This is the perfect solution to the horrific mattress that came with our fifth-wheel trailer. And, at roughly one-third the cost of a similar item at the local RV camping store, we're happy campers who now sleep well at night. When the package arrived, I unwrapped the topper and laid it out in the sun for the afternoon, then laid it out on the floor of the house for the night to get it fully puffed up. After making up the bed the next day we headed out for three nights of bliss. There was no smell, it had fully puffed up, and now our bed was COMFORTABLE.
