After the first night I am already satisfied. Comfortable and affordable mattress topper. I would say it's on the mildly firm side. The padding is thick enough to be felt but not too thick the fitted sheet won't reach. The product looks fine and I did not notice an odor.

We are using this in an RV and honestly the 3 inch would have been the smarter purchase. This topper is very very comfortable but we noticed a big difference with the air flow with the AC after putting this on. The person on the further side from the air flow (if using a portable AC) doesn't get adequate flow and gets sweaty. Since you like sink into this topper because of how soft and comfy it is, you do wake up with a sweaty back or side which is rather uncomfortable and it does slide down the bed pretty regularly from your movement during the night. It was a good buy in the end though because RV mattresses are thin. We no longer feel the wood underneath and don't toss and turn as much at night. It fits the RV Queen bed but it does slide down easily with movement. It is incredibly soft and comfortable but firm enough to cradle your body shape. We will be moving and possibly taking it to our actual home so we will be able to try it out on a regular bed. I'm assuming that will help with the air flow problem and the sliding down problem. I purchased the short queen 3" and am very pleased with it. I placed it on top of the rv matress that came with the the RV and placed a quilted mattress cover over both. I then added sheets and a light comforter on top. Since I have a Murphy bed I had no trouble raising up my bed platform for storage. I think I may have had trouble securing the bed if I would have purchased a 4 or 5' topper. The heat/cooling ratio worked well with the RV sheets I purchased on Amazon as well. I had a very comfortable sleep experience the first night I set it up. Temperature wise it was perfect and I wasn't too cold or warm either. I would highly recommend it. ... show more

I’m a college student and I ordered this for my bed this Matress topper is absolutely amazing but there’s some things that I would say. I specifically only ordered a 1.5 inch because thicker than that is too much and you will literally sink in the bed one time I had a thicker one and it was too much so some people say they may not like it but it’s probably because they got too thick of one 1.5 inch is the perfect size now I also struggle with chronic neck pain and when I get too thick of a mattress and too much memory foam it gives me a lot of back and neck pain because it’s too much. That’s another reason why I got the 1.5 because I cannot sleep on a mattress that is too soft or two squishy so for people with back pain, neck, pain, and things like that this is great because it’s not too much. And I wouldn’t say it’s firm, but it’s almost like firm but like at the same time perfect with you sinking in it… a lot of people might say that this is to firm for I would say this mattress stepper is actually perfect but for people that buy giant thick mattress stoppers in the past with a lot of squishiness and they like literally sinking in the bed then yes this might feel firm to you, but for people that just want a normal bed, which is a little bit of squishing is not too much but still feels like a cloud this is perfect so I think the people saying that it’s too firm are just really used to super squishy mattresses.. I don’t really write reviews on Amazon. I order a lot of stuff, but I never cared to reviews but for this I did because it has made my sleep really good. If you’re just a normal college student looking to buy a mattress topper I recommend you to just get this one. You don’t need to spend a lot of money on one and get the 1.5 inch. This is a very thick and plush topper. You will sink down into it. It did somewhat help the comfort level of my older pillowtop mattress, but did not provide any support. I have chronic pain, so I got very minimal and temporary relief from this topper. In other words it feels great when I first lay down, but provided no support when sleeping on my side. I am a hot sleeper and this pad made that much worse, even when using a cooling mattress cover and cooling sheets. If you are a cold sleeper then this is the topper for you. My elderly parents have slept on it and raved about how warm it kept them. Another issue I’ve had with it is that it splits/tears at times. My bed is tall (to me because I’m short) so when I have one leg on the bed and using the other leg to get up on the bed, the foam has ripped, even with a mattress cover and sheet on. It has also done this on both edges of the bed (about 4 inches from the edge). I am the only one who sleeps on this bed (unless my elderly parents visit) and I do not spend any time at all in this bed except to sleep at night (about 6 hours) so I feel that it should not have torn so easily. If I purchase a foam topper in the future it will be one that comes in an enclosed case to prevent tearing. I did leave this on my bed for a few years because I honestly just didn’t want to do all of the researching and risk buying another one that might not work, but I have had to finally throw this one away and get a different one. I will say that my parents say it was comfortable for them but they are both back sleepers and are very cold natured. ... show more

My mattress was really uncomfortable, and this has been a big improvement.
