This review is going to be in-depth, and objective, as well as a little bit of subjective perspective. It will be ongoing, as I will continue to update periodically for the lifetime of the mattress. I'm doing this for the potential customers, because I would have appreciated If more reviews were more specific, and informative as opposed to just simple comments, hence the word review. I read a lot of Amazon reviews on multiple memory foam mattresses that Amazon had to offer, researched in store, and online prior to purchasing this Best Price Mattress. You spend a 1/3 your life sleeping, so I knew this was a VERY IMPORTANT investment, and wanted to make an informed decision. Also, my spending budget was under $1k, wasn't trying to spend up to $1k-4k on a Tempur-Pedic; plus the ones I tried in store weren't that magical anyways considering the price. I've read that memory foam mattresses tend to last 5 years on average depending you got a decent purchase. So if this lasted even 3 years that accounts to $100 a year, that would be awesome, who could afford not to make this type of investment. To give you an idea, I'm a male, 24 years of age, 5'8", 165 lbs, no major health issues, illness, or sickness just some occasional neck and back pains. I haven't slept well in more than 3 years now, having slept mostly on pillow top spring mattress, futons, and airbeds. I don't usually like taking pills or medicine, but have had to resort to taking Melatonin on occasion due to restlessness. I'm also a very light sleeper (have been for all my life). For instance, I need the room to be pitch dark, no loud, or sudden noises, so I use ear plugs. 2/4/2014 First off, I ordered this on Sunday, close to midnight, and received it on Tuesday, before noon; via Amazon Prime 2-day Shipping. Shipping was very quick, Amazon is usually very good about getting the product delivered on time, even a day earlier sometimes. Ups delivery man carried the 80 lbs box with the mattress up 3 flights of stairs with a smile. The box itself had minor blemishes as expected, but no major damage, or anything that would have damaged the contents containing the mattress. Inside the box was the mattress rolled up in a thin, transparent vacuumed sealed plastic, within a durable, semi-opaque, white outer plastic bag with a tie string, along with warranty, and instructions. Setup was easy enough for one person. The mattress began to expand immediately, when taking off the vacuum sealed plastic; and within 30 minutes it was already at 9 1/4"H. Ten hours later it has expanded to 9 3/4"H. Dimensions on the mattress are on point, fits on the queen bed frame perfectly. Directions say to allow for 48 hours of uninterrupted expansion for best results. I strongly do not recommend sleeping on the mattress during the allotted expansion time, doing so may have implications such as not fully expanding as per the instructions. I'm a little OCD, and cautious, so I'm allowing at least 72 hours for expansion to ensure quality from the very beginning of use. Most of the reviews said that it had a strong chemical odor, and they weren't lying it is quite strong, but not enough to give you a headache. It's been airing out for 10 hours, the chemical odor is still quite noticeable, and this is with a tall window open and the ceiling fan on high, but again this is to be expected. I took the mattress cover off, and will leave it off for the 72 hours to enable it to expand, and dissipate unhindered, also going to wash it to hopefully lessen, and mask the smell. The white removable cover is thin, lightweight, soft, smooth, surprisingly durable, and seems to be of decent quality; the detail design pattern looks to be little flowers of some sort. Underneath the removable white cover is some type of non-removable beige, mesh cover, not too sure what its purpose is, but if you really needed to you could cut it and remove it I guess. I lied on the bed for a couple minutes when it was initially expanding, and it felt really soft, plushy, not really firm, but supportive if that makes sense. I liked what I felt in the few minutes that I had with the mattress; we'll see if it can wow me in the long run though. My only con or gripe about the mattress thus far, would have to be the chemical odor, but again it was to be expected. A friend told me that they actually don't compress the bed until it's ordered, because if it were compressed for a long time and the chemical dried out, it'd probably stay compressed to a certain point. I'm assuming that the chemical helps to compress the foam as well as expand it, a sort of lubricant if you will. Let the chemical run its course, and dissipate, it was implemented for a reason. Additionally I bought a Sleep Innovations Cool Contour Memory Foam Pillow from Amazon coming tomorrow, which I'm eager to try, should go hand in hand with the bed. Also the frame Sleep Master Platform Metal Bed Frame/Mattress Foundation, Queen was from Amazon too, and arrived before the mattress conveniently; no complaints. I will update when I've slept on the mattress; possibly a video as well.

Purchased a 10 inch queen size memory foam mattress December 15th and it was delivered December 22nd. This was purchased to replace our 9 year old worn out innerspring mattress that we had held off on replacing because of the costs of new mattresses. We decided to give this one a try due to the cost, decent reviews, and easy delivery. We unboxed it, laid it out on our existing box springs, and opened the plastic shrink wrap to allow it to expand in place early the next morning to give it time to firm up before that night. We also turned on our ceiling fan to help dissipate the smell from the foam (it does have a slight smell immediately after unpackaging). The instructions say to allow for 24 to 48 hours of time for the mattress to firm up and air out, but we used it the first night and it was a little soft, however, the next 2 nights have been great and with no noticeable smell. Our hips and shoulders are much more comfortable now and our sleep is much less interrupted. As another person noted, it you aren't used to memory foam, turning over and moving around takes a little more effort, but it is worth it to us. We are happy with the quick delivery and the comfort so far, and we will update the review over time with any concerns and how well it holds up. Super deal as of now, though. Update - After 2 months we are still very happy with it, so much so that we purchased a 10 inch twin mattress for our son. Update - After 6 months we are still happy with the purchase. The mattress does sleep a little warmer than the old inner spring, which in the winter months was helpful, but in the warm months we notice we tend to either turn down the air conditioner a degree or two more, or run the ceiling fan more often. Not a big deal, though, considering our backs aren't waking up stiff in the morning anymore. UPDATE: 8/23/2018 - We have used this mattress every day for over a year and a half. and it is still very comfortable with very minimal settling where our bodies lay. It is even now way more comfortable than the innerspring mattresses we have used in the past. Will most definitely buy another when this one eventually wears out.

This is just from my experience with the mattress so far(received it yesterday and laid on it today) and I will update if something happens and I need to change my rating. I am a college student planning a wedding without much money to spend on things like a matress but the time came when I simply had to replace my old spring matress. Now I think some people who were displeased with this mattress were not completely clear on how memory foam feels, it's not really "soft" it just provides support without pressure points and cradles you. I myself prefer a "soft" feel mattress and while this isn't "soft" like a pillow top mattress it IS extremely comfortable even to me when I am used to a plush pillowtop mattress. My fiancée and I are both taller and bigger people(he's 6'4 and about 275lbs, I'm 5'6 and about 180) and we both do not feel like we are sinking to the bottom of the mattress. I honestly did not believe I would love this mattress but both me and my fiancée love it. I had searched at the larger retail stores and I wasn't exactly amazed by their products in memory foam(especially due to the price) and this mattress feels as good as the tempurpedic I could have spend $$$$$$ on. I also searched through the "lower end" memory foam in stores and was also unimpressed with quality and pricing. The 1inch layer of memory foam on a $500 mattress just isn't impressive. I was also put off by the fact a lot of the big name memory foam mattress companies do NOT actually tell you the layers of the foam, thickness or even what the different layers consist of period! In one of the big name stores the sales associate could only point me to a model of what the general mattress construction was for ONE of the 20 different memory foam mattresses they sold. For anyone like myself who has Fibromyalgia or any chronic pain issue I would definitely recommend this bed. I recently have been dealing with more pain(especially in my back and hips) and while laying on this mattress(on my side or my back) I can say I definitely feel much much better waking up in the morning as far as muscle soreness and stiffness go. I laid down on my pillow top for comparison and then walked over to this memory foam mattress, laid down, and my back pain actually went away while I was on this mattress(can't say the same for my pillow top). The shipping was pretty fast and free so that was satisfactory. The packaging was interesting and I couldn't believe a king size mattress fit into a 41X22X22 box! It did have some initial off-gassing and we aired out the mattress and febreezed and are both able to lay on the mattress without being bothered by any smells. I would recommend this mattress to anyone looking to upgrade from a innerspring mattress to memory foam.

Arrived an entire day early which was amazing. The box looked like it had standard shipping battle scars, the vacuum sealed bag was slightly ripped open at the top which made me nervous but the fabric wasn’t harmed so i proceeded with opening it. I am a small female (5’4” 145lbs) and maneuvering the box into my house then the rolled mattress to my bedroom was easy (I had just done it 7 weeks before too so I guess I could say I had been seasoned). The end that had been opened was already slightly decompressed, turned out not to be a big deal. Cutting the wraps open was easy, i carefully used scissors. It puffed up right away to 9.5” and after about an hour was close enough to 10”. There was no bad off gassing smell to me, even being sensitive to strong smells bc of allergies, only a slight smell of a new product/new foams, which is to be expected. The mattress cover has a nice, soft feel, and the mattress honestly looks like good quality. The feel of the bare mattress feels like a marshmallow, probably close to a medium on the firmness level. Bare, it honestly feels nice, and even squishy. Unfortunately it seems to lose a little squish with a sheet, you seem to sink into it a little less, but i think this is standard with memory foam mattresses. I gave 4 stars because unfortunately for me, being a smaller female and a side sleeper, this mattress is ever so slightly too firm. I toss and turn from shoulder pain, so i added a 1.5 memory foam mattress topper to the bed that I got from Walmart and i suspect I’ll be sleeping better now. I got the 10” mattress instead of the 12” because you would only get another .5 inch of sleeping comfort foam with the 12 for $60+. Even with having to get a mattress pad that’s 1.5” of pure comfort foam, that was only $35, I still saved money. So if you like a more plush mattress i would recommend doing this. If you like a more medium to firm mattress, or if you’re a back or stomach sleeper, this mattress alone may be just right for you. But keep in mind this is in the view of a smaller female. Compared to my previous mattress nightmare, the Zinus 12” Pressure Relief Cloud Memory Foam Mattress, I’m much happier with this 10” memory foam Best Price Mattress purchase, even with having to add a topper. I would recommend it to others.

First let me start by saying I LOVE this mattress. A friend of mine purchased the queen version in the 8in and he told me for about 2 years he and his wife had never slept better. I tossed it around while he recruited many friends around us to buy this thing. When he told me his 90 year old grandfather said it was the most comfortable bed he'd ever slept on I was sold. I feel like there are a couple of things that help this one out. I've slept on many memory foams before and they always seemed either REALLY hard or really soft. After some research I learned that the layering of different foams and their ratios are the key. This mattress hits all of those exactly right. At the time of the writing of this review the king-sized 10in is around $260.00. For that price it was well worth taking the gamble. I was going to go with the 12in just to get a little more height for the bed frame but it turned out the 10in was more than enough height. I also opted to get rid of our box springs and buy 1in x 4in slats (about 13 or so) that cost me under $30 to let the memory foam breathe. I have a friend who kept his box springs with his mattress for about a year but is converting to slats. (On a side note we had a terrible pillow-top before) Per my friend's instructions, when we got the mattress in we opened it on top of the bed, positioned it and let it do it's thing. We came back about 4 hours later and it had inflated enough to sleep on. It got a bit loftier over the next day. My wife and I are side and back sleepers with the constant flipping and shuffling method on a professional scale. My friend told me to, "give it a few days" to get adjusted to as it's a very different sleeping experience if you're going whole hog and not just sleeping on a hotel or friend's memory foam. He was right. I instantly loved it but my wife was a different story. The constant flipping was a result of not being comfortable enough over the past years and it was more of a habit than anything else. After a few days our bodies realized they were actually comfortable and we've begun really sleeping through the night. I know the sleep trackers on fitbits aren't the greatest but where I was waking up 3 or 4 times a night and have about and hour or more of "awake" time, I'm now hardly ever getting up and have my awake time averaging about 20 mins or so. Needless to say, we're keeping this bad boy for a long time and the link is bookmarked for me to quickly shoot over to friends.

I ordered this mattress based on its reviews. We too, couldn't be happier. I have back problems and left leg problems which makes it difficult to sleep. I went to a name brand mattress store and they suggested a memory foam mattress, stating that a spring mattress wouldn't give me the comfort that I needed. After looking at the $1000+price tag, I decided to come home and do some searching online. I was surprised on the price difference. It went from over $1,000 in a local store to under $300. I wasn't expecting the high quality of a mattress that I received when this mattress arrived. Back to my problems... I have had back pain and left leg pain for a few years now. Prior to this mattress, I had a firm spring mattress. This mattress (in my opinion) is medium. Its not too soft and not too firm. It took a couple nights to fully appreciate it. By the 2nd morning, I woke up for the first time with no pain. I was able to comfortably sleep on my left side, right side and back for long periods of time in total comfort. When you change positions, the mattress forms to your body within seconds - supporting every inch. This relieved the pressure points that was previously causing me pain when I slept. For the first time in years, I'm able to get and stay comfortable during the whole night. My fiance and I are both light sleepers. With this mattress we can move freely without disturbing one another. You can't feel any movement in the mattress either when the other person gets out or into bed. This is great! Also, I saw questions with people asking about the size and if its accurate. The mattress I received was exactly the king size. 76'x80'x10' and king size sheets fit it perfectly. The warning that is on the box is no joke: "This product will make you sleep so well, you will not want to get out of bed" I hope this review helps. I decided to try this mattress after looking at a multitude of others. Some named for colors, and popular "Pedic" mattresses. The reviews on this mattress seemed good so I decided to go with it. I have had Sleep# beds for the last 7 years, and although I dont have back issues, they are supposed to be "the best mattresses" so...thats what I went with. Fast forward 7 years and two $3000 beds later and Im now married. Our bed slowly began the "center-slide" where when two people sleep on it a cavernous trench develops in the middle. The bed had the zipper down the middle feature (connects the two chambers to supposedly fix this issue) but it had zero effect on helping. We ordered some foam to brace the center and now our bed had a nice lump in the middle. Both of these situations ended up with us both sleeping on opposite sides of the bed, and either constantly rolling out of the hole or away from the edge by the floor all night. When we bought our house we bought this bed for our 17 yr old son. He loved it. Of course we laid on it and it was super comfy, so we decided to get another for the guest bed...after all...why spend a bunch of money on a bed thats only slept on once in a while? Well two weeks ago I woke up with a stiff back (thanks to the grand Canyon in the center of our bed) and after an hour in the yard it literally went out on me. I couldnt walk. The Chiropractor wasnt open until tuesday and it was Saturday. That night we decided to sleep on the guest bed. It was like a dream!!! We both woke and realized how much sleep we were losing on the crappy inflatable bed. I immediately ordered one for our room. The chiro fixed my back, but because we had houseguests we were relegated to the air bed again. UNTIL LAST NIGHT!!!! New bed arrived and we had it set up in less than 5 minutes. Last nights sleep was so great I had to come and review it this morning!!! Overall a great mattress!! Not too firm, not too soft, not hot, its literally Goldilocks' dream bed!! So stop reading this and buy one!!! You wont be sorry you did!!!! UPDATE!! 1 year later and my wife and I still LOVE this bed! We have replaced every matress in the house with them. Teens love them too!! You cant put a price on a good nights sleep, and at this price you cant afford NOT to sleep well!!!

UPDATED REVIEW 8/17/20 I am in more pain than I ever have been in my entire life. I can barely function. I resorted to sleeping on the hide-a-bed. Yes people, the hide-a-bed is more comfortable than this mattress. This was something I purchased as a gift to myself, something I rarely do. I was so excited & couldn’t wait to sleep on it. So now I’ve wasted my hard earned money & am in constant pain. I am so very bummed out about this I could just cry. And I hope I’m not permanently maimed with this horrible back pain for the rest of my life. Go with the Lucid. I wish I would have. OLD REVIEW: So I’ve bought 2 different memory foam mattresses lately. The first was a 10” Lucid Plush. I really liked it but wasn’t sure if I wanted something softer. I decided to buy another for me (the Lucid was for a family member). Started reading reviews & this mattress had some good reviews. It makes me really laugh reading other peoples’ reviews. One says “OMG its hard as a rock!” The next one says “Its so soft I sunk all the way to the floor!” So which is it? Hard or soft? Anyways, I bought a 10”. It’s a love/hate relationship. It is just so soft & cozy I absolutely love it! But maybe too soft? I sleep like a rock, but I sink down & I think it makes it difficult to move while sleeping. I would wake up with a sore back! So I thought it was a tad too soft. To try & firm it up I cut some plywood & put in my bed frame. It has these wooden slats & I don’t think there was enough of them. I do believe that helped a lot. The bed feels a bit firmer & my back didn’t hurt this morning. I will give it a few more nights & update this review if needed. Overall I am please with my purchase. I did notice it retains heat, but I just throw covers off. And I did NOT notice any smell at all. I always thought a person had to spend $800 - $1,000 or more to get a decent mattress, so for the price I am happy.
