First let me start by saying that I was hesitant to purchase this item because of these bad reviews about missing components and all that, so I decided to do a comprehensive review addressing all the topics that had me thinking twice about doing it. 1) missing parts: everything is in the lower compartments, just undo the Velcro and you’ll find everything, it is clearly labeled. 2) no instructions: the instruction booklet is included but you don’t even need it because this is pretty self explanatory. 3) gaps between components after assembly: as you should do with all construction, don’t tighten anything all the way until all the corners are approximated. If you do, it will be lopsided. Same as changing a tire. 4) couch is hard: I admit it is not the softest couch I’ve sat on, but I assembled it 30 seconds ago so I imagine it will get softer as I break it in 5) poor construction: the couch is sturdy, every assembly point is firmly mounted and the couch does not wobble at all, it is solid after assembly 6) Velcro doesn’t match cushions: my Velcro matched perfectly I would not only recommend this purchase, but buy it again. The brown leather looks very elegant and is not cheap looking. For $500, you can’t beat it

The media could not be loaded. As you can see from the video I'm posting with this, the couch is indeed handsome and really dresses up the space it occupies. The quick and easy switch from entertaining to sleeping to lounging is nice and I feel confident I made the right choice for that reason. However, there are a few issues worth noting, primarily revolving around assembly and the couch interior: 1) The interior wood quality is poor, and if some of the wood pieces were even slightly more damaged/stripped, the washers would not have secured the pieces together properly. I got lucky, though I bet some customers end up with wobbly armrests as a result of quality issues. 2) The instruction manual promises a 30 minute assembly. I have been assembling furniture like this for years, and it still took me over an hour and a half to get all this unboxed and put together. 3) With loads of splintered wood inside and challenges being able to see what you're connecting together, you will not have a fun time with this and may encounter some splinters. 4) The manual does not tell you this, but when you put the screws into the armrests, only put them in HALFWAY. They need to have enough of the screw exposed to go all the way through the part of the couch they are attaching to and still have space for the washer/nut to affix to it. The manual also does not tell you when to use the included tool, so make sure you use it to tighten every nut once it's in place, as tightening will decrease the physical gaps between the various pieces. Finally, you may have to undo some of the screw-in feet in order to connect the sofa piece and the long piece together, though that's not a major problem, just know it's going to happen. I searched for quite a while to find something nice, modular, and long-lasting for under $800, and this was really the only viable option I came up with. I do recommend it, but definitely budget more time to put it together and make sure you have a good flashlight around so you can see what you're doing during the unpleasant assembly process.

Purchased in mid October. Second box got lost but eventually delivered so don't expect the 2 boxes at the same time but expect delivery issues and delays. Also FedEx drivers didn't want to deliver it because it was too heavy! Quality when putting it together was not great and several things didn't align. Couch is uncomfortable and you can feel where the pieces connect because they don't fit/connect perfectly. Very hard! Lumpy couch. Item purchased in white and it's been less than 4 months since I ordered it (less for delivery delay) and the color is now fading/spotting. Color looks like it rubs off anywhere it has been used. It has not been used much and it's not ready for the trash!! Contacted customer support and they said they can't help and won't do anything. Waste of money. Couch is now white with dark spots where there has been any contact by anyone/anything. Waste of money!

I bought this probably a year and half ago already and it still looks how it came out of the box! Was easy to put together and had pretty simple instructions. Beautiful in a small space and I get lots of compliments on it! Decently comfy and serves its purpose. I have two cats who aren’t declawed and it has zero scratches or “pin holes”

I an at a loss as to how the people who review this couch don't think it is as hard as a rock. Do they all own the Flintstones' rock couch and upgraded to this? The couch is reasonably priced and not difficult to put together. It took maybe 20 minutes to put the sides on it and screw on the feet. The issue is that it is not comfortable. It does have some padding -- I'd being a little bit harsh -- but the back pads you don't sink into at all. So what happens is that you are constantly sitting upright. You can't lean back and relax because the back cushions don't have any give. Since the butt cushion isn't very much, er... cushion... it makes for a very stiff sitting experience. The longer leg piece isn't much better. You have room to lean back a little better, but the back cushion is so firm you are still propped up pretty straight. I want to lean back and relax on this thing and it is darn near impossible. It does look good and it fit into the space I needed it to, but people tend to "get stuck" having to sit on this couch. Literally every other seat in the living room is chosen first and this couch is last. That's really the best way to determine a rating for this couch. Sadly, it is a 2.5 star and I was generous and rounded up.
