The sewing machine is overall a very good starter machine to learn. It's very lightweight and quite easy to use. The stitching comes out quite nice everything seems to work the way it should. Overall it's very cute sewing machine it comes with all the included accessories and it's quite easy to get started using. I think this would be a great idea for any parents trying to teach any child or someone just starting on sewing and wanting to learn more for diving headfirst into expensive machinery. Overall going to be a great gift I'm going to use it to show my kids how to sew to be able to fix their own clothing and whatever in the future. Very please have had no issues with the machine at all as of yet and would recommend it it's quite a cute machine I really do like it a lot

I am so glad that I got this sewing machine for my teenage daughter to learn with. It comes with everything you need to get started. It looks really nice and I love the color. It has a decent weight to it, so you can tell that is not just for children but for "beginners" in general. It is very good quality. It was very easy for my daughter to get started using it. She began stitching in no time. Thread jam hasn't been a problem with this machine so far. The sewing machine works very well. I'm so excited for my daughter to be learning a new skill and this is the perfect sewing machine to learn with.

Pros: • Absolutely gorgeous design. The sage and gold color combination is stunning and gives this machine a high-end, modern look. It genuinely looks far more expensive than its price point. • Excellent value for around $60. For what you get — including the 55-piece kit — it’s a solid starter package for beginners. • Great stitch variety. The 16 built-in stitch patterns and options are surprisingly comparable to more established brands (similar functionality to my Brother machine in terms of stitch choices). • Lightweight and portable. Easy to move around, store away, or keep as a secondary machine for quick projects. • Ideal for beginners. The controls are straightforward and unintimidating, making it perfect for someone just learning to sew. • Good for small projects and lighter fabrics. This is my first sewing machine and I'm excited to have it. The sewing machine works very well and the features are clearly labeled in the booklet. The booklet included a couple typos but is written fairly well. The booklet does not explain how to start a project, but the instructional video linked in the booklet does. The foot pedal cord reaches the floor, and it has very little excess cord. The machine feels great and sturdy, the cord for both the machine power and the foot pedal feel a bit brittle and on the cheaper side. The included tools are great, the spindles and bobbins are made of a pleasant material. The dials and the foot pedal feel responsive, giving good tactile feedback when used. I've used several thread and cloth combinations so far and the machine has done great. I think this is an excellent give idea for a crafty person.

Clearly not a heavy duty or advanced machine, but none-the-less a great value at the low $60 price. This light-duty machine features a nice variety of 16 different stitches, including buttonholes.. also comes with a buttonhole foot, a good supply of different thread colors, a tape measure, spare needles, thimble, bobbins and more... a well thought out variety of essentials for the beginner. Only two set speeds but is reversible, has adjustable tension and a work light. Well designed with a top load bobbin, handwheel, and a slot for things like sleeve work... it's sufficient. Very portable and lightweight, I can see it being useful for emergency wardrobe repairs for a traveling theater company, it could be a carry-on item. Just don't expect it to be able to work well with heavier fabrics, and not at all for things like canvas or leather. I ordered the sage color, it looks quite nice.
