Not bad and easy to put together, Not perfectly made for I see some imperfections but still its not bad for our use. I'm 6'3 265 lbs and I've stood on it several times to reach my flag pole mounted to the house. So sitting on it is a breeze for this holds my full body weight standing. (Not that I recommend you stand) on it lol But still it held me :-) For the price , I dig it ! (((UPDATE))) As of 6-15-18 the bench is still holding strong and has held up to 450 lbs at a time, I know this because I was 300 lbs for a while and the wife was 150 lbs so ye that bench is awesome ! ... show more

    • Buy your own screws!

I was having the hardest time with the "hex nuts" or whatever they are called and that stupid "L" key. How ridiculous! Are regular screws with nuts that much more expensive??? I can only assume there is a reason I don't know about. In any case, I went to the hardware store and found 'machine screws' (I think that's what they called them) the same size and BOOM! Bench done! SO easy! Sure, I have to buy some paint to cover up the silver screws but SO worth it! It probably never would occurred to me had I not seen someone else put it in there post. Thank you, person!     • Immediately began to rust / Junk for outdoor use

This bench appeared to be of medium quality--which felt fair based on the price--slightly lighter in weight and heft than I expected from steel product. I would have been satisfied with my purchase had this bench not immediately started to rust upon the first rain. I had this delivered at the end of Feb, assembled first week in March, and now in the 2nd week of April, can't return directly. I purchased two, and one is still in the original box. Amazon is putting me in touch with this third party seller, and we will see how well they resolve this issue. ... show more

At first I was well pleased with this bench and easy to assemble. Well constructed somewhat comfortable at a good price. Now after one overnight rain I noticed that all the welds show signs of rusting, Read the comments by others to apply minwax coating to preserve the finish over winter if kept out but one summer rain would do this. I had even purchased the minwax to apply before winter. Now must clean up rust on existing welds and attempt to apply the minwax spray. Very disappointing, would have given it fewer stars but everything else about this bench is fine ... show more

    • Sturdy frame, great price, easy assembly!

This bench was easy to assemble and has worn well the past few months. Guests are comfortable sitting on it outside (I added a cushion that I purchased separately). The back is heavy and the rest of the frame is a little lighter. It works well for my use.

This is a very well made bench, but one of the bolts was defective and we just decided to replace all the attachment hardware with stainless steel bolts and washers to avoid rust issues and have a better fit. Also where the joins for the decorative back joins the frame, rust started showing right away, but we plan to take apart and spray with a good Krylon outdoor spray paint. I know... should have thought of that before, but I like the size and look and it is very sturdy and worth the money, I just decided to add my own upgrades with a good Krylon "Hammered" bronze paint. ... show more

I would absolutely give this five stars, except that it arrived missing one lock nut and four washers for assembly. I have written to Amazon's Warranty Dept. to ask if they could send these small items to me, as I do not want to ship the whole big package back to the seller. Only took me an hour to put the thing together. Looks great and feels sturdy. Lovely design for a patio or outdoor area. Lots of debris from the styrofoam packing left around after opening the box, which traveled from California to Boston in just five days, but that's to be expected and I'm not complaining about that. I just wish the missing hardware had been included. ... show more
