I had been shopping around for a fireplace screen for about a month...this one was BY FAR the cheapest, but still had the MCM look I was searching for. My first choice screen was West Elm, but for $199, hard pass. Even on Wayfair and Overstock, they are well over $100. At $47 and change, this is exactly what I wanted. Sturdy enough and looks perfect. Bonus that the feet fit right inside the fire box, so the screen can be flush against the masonry. While it is a matte finish, it's not as bright gold as the listing shows. It's just a shade to the bronze side, which is fine with me. Love it! ... show more

The product arrived damaged beyond repair. My first review describing my experience was “not approved” by Amazon though it it no way violated their “community standards”. This review is likely to be denied as well. Best Choice Products expects me to package the damaged item and return it to them before they will address my dissatisfaction, even though I sent them several pictures of the damaged item. Looks so nice and updated our fireplace nicely without spending a lot. It is more of a distressed gold than I was expecting, but I think I like it more that way- it’s isn’t as bold and blends in more. I measured to make sure it would cover well and I am happy with the way it turned out. I ordered the golden/brass colored screen. Clearly the company took a black screen and spray painted the front of it a golden color and distressed it. The back is not finished and looks terrible. The back is still pretty much black with splotches of the gold that over sprayed to the back when they painted it. I guess if you consider that you’ll never really see the back it’s not a big deal. But, when you look at the screen from the front side at different angles you can see a lot of the bare black areas that didn’t get sprayed. Initially it looks fairly pretty, but after its sat in my living room for a week I notice all of the imperfections and it looks tacky to me now. Thinking about returning. For $60, I expected this fireplace screen to really be flimsy considering the other nice looking ones are much more expensive. The biggest disappointment is that the feet that came with the screen are uneven, so the screen wobbles back and forth. I tried bending it but since it’s welded, it doesn’t look like it’ll be possible. Pretty disappointed about this. Probably would’ve been perfect otherwise. ... show more

It’s nice! Great price! After reading the reviews I was concerned about the “spray paint” look others wrote about, but it’s not overly sprayed looking or cheap looking. My only issue with it is the opening at the bottom. It’s a little off meaning the height of the feet shows a bit too much of the opening (bottom of our fireplace exposure). Thought of taking the feet off but can’t figure out a way of not having the screen topple over. May not be a problem for others...I think it just depends on the scale of your fireplace or if you’re bugged by the little things in life! ... show more
