First I will say that the seller is one of the best I have come across on Amazon. I will not hesitate to shop with them again. I love this pen but was not too happy with the plastic tips. I would not have returned this product just because the pen itself is excellent. I do suggest getting the metal tips that go with this pen.

Edit 1 - I just started working on my first square drills canvas, and it was interesting. I am doing one of the mini ones to learn the best way before jumping to large ones. After watching some how to videos and reading a bunch of reviews, I assumed that using a pen with square drills tips would be the best way to go. So after searching the ones available, I selected this pen as the one to get because it can be used for both types of drills. Glad that I did. I have used it for the round drills, and it works great for those. It is easy to hold and grabs the drills well. Also it needs less wax, which is a time saver. It is light weight, even though it is all metal. For round drills use, I would buy it again. Now for the square drills, which is the main reason I bought it. I have just completed an approximate 3 X 4 inch area with using 5 different colored drills. I did 3/4 of it using this pen with the square tip and 1/4 using one of the cheap stick pens that usually comes with most Diamond painting kits. I have arthritis in my hand, so go slower than a lot of other Diamond art painters. Also, this was my first time figuring out the best way to place the drills so that the rows are even. Actually, it was easier than I expected because I didn’t rush it. I was doing OK with this special pen, but it took more pressure and twisting with my hand and arm than I liked in order to get the drills in place. It would be doable for me with this mini canvas, but questionable with the 12 X 16 floral canvases that I have kitty and waiting. So I decided to see what it was like with one of the stick pens. Surprisingly, it as so much easier to not only place the square drill but, also to adjust it. I didn’t expect that. I thought it would be the other way around. As I previously mentioned, I do like this pen set for the regular round drills, but not sure about the square ones. I do recommend buying this set, though, because you get both types of drill tips. That way you can try them out for yourself. The square tip might work great for you. It’s worth trying and you would still have a nice pen with a bunch of other tips that can be used for a lot of things. I will try this on the larger canvas, and if I end up getting it to work better for me with them, I will edit this review again. Both the square and round single tips are all metal. The others have the metal screw in base with plastic tops. I will use the little round dish for trash drills. Also has 2 small heart shaped pieces of wax. I am 5’2” tall, have arthritis in my hand, wear a size 6 ring, recovering from a stroke, and this pen fits and works comfortable in my hand. As advertised Feels comfortable and light in my hand. Picks up drills easily. At this point would buy again.

Yes, this is the pen I have been looking for. It is very comfortable in my hand. I have severe arthritis in my hands and this is one of a couple pens I can use for an extended amount of time without too much pain. The design is such that you can switch out the tips to either end of the pen to get that perfect fit for your hand wich makes it easy to use. I love doing my diamond art and I have tried so many different pens. I wish this one would light up like the other one I can use, of course, if this pen and my light up pen were one in the same! Very much like this pen, and I recommend it. It would be even better if it were a wee bit cheaper, but I guess we get what we pay for, and it is worth the $10 I paid for it.

EDIT- after talking to the customer service they graciously are sending me a replacement pen!! I’m absolutely grateful and the customer service is hands down top notch. So I can definitely tell you out of all the pens I have this one is by far superior. I won’t have a reason to use other products. Thank you so much First this is a great pen , the tip has one end for round & one for square. The way the tip is designed it has a fine edge so you can get in between the other dots that you place with ease, unlike some of the other metal tipped pens the edges around the tip are wide and cumbersome which makes them more trouble than anything. So this pen got the dimensions correct for proper placement and the weight is just right. The only BUT I had is the extra tips for placing multiple fits are made of plastic and after you use it a few dozen times they get worn out just like all other plastic tips. I wish they would make the multiple placer tips in metal for this pen but with the same exact thin standards otherwise the edge of the metal placer will be to wide to fit in between rows, which is the big issue with others But I do recommend this one
