These are working really well for my (average sizes) 5 year old son. I bought them just slightly large so we can use them next year but the adjustable strap allows them to be snuggled up or loosened. They are thinner than some other snow pants we’ve had but my son never had any complaints of being cold (and it has been very cold in upstate NY so far this month) .

First, if you are wondering about sizing on these, I got a small for my very typically sized 8 year old girl and they fit well. They would also fit her for another year at least, but they aren't durable enough to last two years, so that doesn't really matter. Pros: These are comfortable, easy to get on, and waterproof. My daughter has had a winter of fun with these and loves them. Con: The only con for these is that the fabric is not great quality. After four months of winter fun, she came home with a rip in them today. I sewed it up, but it's pretty clear the fabric on the butt area is getting pretty worn and thin. It's early March, but we're in Maine so we have another month of winter to go. I'm hoping we can get these to last, but I am not expecting them to make it to next winter. I will be buying a different brand next time.
